The Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications summarizes the work of the first 9 months of 2024

Attending the Conference, representatives of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc were comrade Nguyen Duc Minh, member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Organization Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc; comrade Pham Thi Vui, member of the Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc.

On the side of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications, there were: Comrade Pham Duc Long, Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications; Comrade Mai Anh Hong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications and comrade Luu Dinh Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications co-chaired the conference.

Attending the Conference were members of the Standing Committee, members of the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications; members of the Inspection Committee of the Ministry's Party Committee; together with the Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and representatives of the Information and Communications Trade Union and the Youth Union of the Ministry.

The conference focused on two important contents: summarizing the work of the first 9 months of the year and deploying tasks from now until the end of 2024. At the same time, implementing the process of reviewing and supplementing the planning of the Party Executive Committee.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Pham Duc Long, Party Secretary, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications said: With the attention and direction of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc, the close coordination of the Party Executive Committee, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications has led and directed Party committees and affiliated Party organizations to actively implement key tasks; improve the effectiveness and efficiency in performing political tasks and Party building work, creating strong development steps, achieving many remarkable results in the first 9 months of 2024.

The final months of the year are an important period, requiring the determination and high concentration of the entire Party Committee to complete the set plan. Key tasks will include promoting the work of building and perfecting policy institutions, improving management capacity, strongly supporting digital transformation activities, while ensuring information security and enhancing communication about the Party and State's policies and guidelines.

Regarding the work of planning for Party committees, the Party Secretary emphasized: Planning for cadres is an important step, a regular task to early detect sources of cadres with qualities, abilities, prestige, and development prospects in order to have plans for training, fostering, rotating, appointing, and creating sources of cadres for Party committees, leaders, and managers at all levels. The review and supplementation of cadre planning comes from practical requirements and complies with principles and regulations, thereby creating a sustainable and effective source of cadres. The Party Secretary requested delegates to uphold their responsibilities, carefully study the standards and structures to select and introduce quality sources of cadre planning.

After listening to specific instructions on the structure, quantity, standards, and planning conditions, in a spirit of democracy and responsibility, delegates discussed and voted to introduce additional planning for the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

At the Conference, comrade Luu Dinh Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, on behalf of the Party Committee, presented the Preliminary Report of the first 09 months of the year and key tasks and directions for the last 3 months of 2024.

In addition, the Conference listened to presentations from a number of Party organizations in the Party Committee including: Department of International Cooperation; Department of ICT Industry; Institute of Information and Communications Strategy. Thereby, the Conference received many useful and important contributions to Party building work from the delegates attending.

The conference also discussed and proposed practical and specific solutions to overcome difficulties, challenges, shortcomings and limitations. The Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications is determined to continue to promote its leadership and comprehensive direction to complete the tasks in 2024, contributing to the overall development of the country and the Information and Communications sector./.
