(GLO)- On the morning of December 2, the Gia Lai Provincial Military Party Committee held a conference to issue a Resolution on leadership in implementing tasks in 2026. Attending the conference were comrades: Colonel Truong Quang Sinh - Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of Military Region 5; Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Party building committees of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee, Party Committee members of the Provincial Military Party Committee.

At the conference, Colonel Mai Kim Binh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command (CHQS) reported on the draft Resolution on leadership in implementing national defense, local military, border defense and Party building tasks in 2026.

Accordingly, under the direct leadership and direction of the Party Standing Committee, the Military Region 5 Command, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Military Party Committee has focused on leading and directing the synchronous and comprehensive implementation of the 2025 tasks.

Notably, the Provincial Military Party Committee has advised the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to promptly grasp and implement resolutions and directives of the Party, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense , and the Military Region. At the same time, it has issued and effectively implemented directives, plans, and projects; focusing on the Project on reorganizing the local military organization.

Training, drills, competitions and sports events are carried out closely, closely following reality, ensuring high quality and efficiency. Agencies and units in the provincial armed forces are always proactive and promptly mobilize forces and means to participate in preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, storms and floods, and rescue and relief in the area.

Building a strong and comprehensive unit "Exemplary, typical" has achieved good results. The work of arranging and adjusting the organization and staffing in the direction of "lean, compact, strong" has been concretized in accordance with the model of 2-level local government. At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and comprehensively evaluating the results of leadership in implementing the tasks of national defense, local military, border defense and Party building in 2025; pointing out advantages, limitations and causes.

At the same time, determine the correct, accurate, and practical leadership tasks and solutions for 2026, ensuring that the provincial armed forces maintain their core role in building all-people national defense, all-people national defense posture associated with people's security posture and solid all-people border defense.

Concluding the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc - Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee - assessed: In 2025, in the context of implementing the policy of arranging local government according to a 2-level model and perfecting the local military organization with a large workload and high task requirements, the Provincial Military Party Committee has promoted its leadership role well, proactively advised and organized the comprehensive, synchronous and effective implementation of national defense, local military, border defense and Party building tasks.

Emphasizing the requirement of "Correct situation - Close to reality - Correct solution - On task - High efficiency", comrade Thai Dai Ngoc requested the Provincial Military Party Committee, agencies and units in the provincial armed forces to continue to do a good job of advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to comprehensively lead and direct the tasks of national defense, local military, and border protection closely linked with socio-economic development.

Proactively grasp the situation, forecast correctly, promptly and effectively handle situations, especially on borders, sea areas, important areas and targets, to avoid being passive or surprised.

At the same time, strictly maintain combat readiness; build a complete plan for the province's defense area. Provide training for subjects with correct and sufficient content and programs; drills at all levels must be substantial, safe and highly effective, avoiding formalities. Be determined in preventing and combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

In addition, the provincial armed forces must play a core role in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and floods. Continue to take the lead in eliminating hunger, reducing poverty, improving people's lives, building new rural areas, and ensuring social security. Especially, effectively carry out the task of supporting the reconstruction of houses for people that have collapsed or been severely damaged by storms and floods.

“We must strive to ensure that no family has to celebrate the 2026 Lunar New Year in poverty or temporary housing. This is not only an urgent task after natural disasters but also a vivid expression of the responsibility and affection of the officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces towards the people,” emphasized comrade Thai Dai Ngoc.
