Phu Quy Island ranks among the top 10 must-visit destinations in Southeast Asia in 2026.

Phu Quy Island (formerly Binh Thuan province, now Lam Dong province), described as "beautiful like something out of a movie," has just been selected by Khaosod English, a Thai newspaper, as one of the "Top 10 most pristine and worthwhile destinations to explore in Southeast Asia in 2026."

Amidst the overcrowding of popular tourist destinations like Bangkok and Bali, Khaosod's list focuses on "quiet corners" that retain their pristine beauty, local character, and unique experiences. Alongside Phu Quy Island are destinations such as Ulu Temburong (Brunei), Nong Khiaw (Laos), and the Mergui Archipelago (Myanmar).

According to Khaosod English, Phu Quy Island is the ideal choice for those who want to "listen to themselves" amidst the natural beauty of the sea and islands, with its turquoise beaches, mountainous terrain, and breezy atmosphere, quite different from mainstream destinations.

Phu Quy Island is located about 120 km southeast of Phan Thiet city center, and consists of the main island and many smaller islands such as Hon Tranh, Hon Do, Hon Da Cao… Tourists usually take a speedboat from Phan Thiet to get there.
