According to the report, in recent times, the program has organized many forums and seminars on innovative methods of teaching Mathematics, training talents, Mathematics competitions and fostering high-quality human resources. The innovation of teaching models for students is also being focused on; implementing 35 topics of young mathematicians and supporting the implementation of the general education program in Mathematics.
In the next phase, the program focuses on promoting applied mathematics and practical mathematics activities, through surveys and research to standardize undergraduate and postgraduate training programs in the fields of mathematical sciences .
Speaking at the program, Professor Ngo Bao Chau said that the program to compare the Mathematics framework between Vietnam and the world is gradually being completed. This is an important foundation for Vietnamese Mathematics to integrate deeply.
The professor highly appreciated the policy of attracting talent according to Resolution 57 and encouraged creating conditions for experts to start working immediately upon returning home.

According to Professor Ngo Bao Chau, training high-quality PhD students who can compete internationally is a key evaluation criterion. Vietnam needs to aim for major awards such as Fields and Nobel prizes, expand cooperation with leading mathematics institutions and increase the participation of women in research.
Professor Chau proposed that by 2030, it is necessary to build at least 5 specialized laboratories on cryptography, mathematics, and climate change, while developing a high-quality digital science repository to serve students nationwide. Along with that, it is recommended to increase investment and expand the Institute of Mathematics, promote socialization, and support Vietnamese experts abroad.
Attracting Vietnamese talent globally
Deputy Director of the General Education Department ( Ministry of Education and Training ) Ta Ngoc Tri emphasized the need to strengthen coordination with relevant units to support the implementation of the general education program for Mathematics. In particular, activities to train specialized teachers and Mathematics teachers are focused on to spread the spirit of innovation to the entire education system and all classes of people and students across the country.
Mr. Le Minh Ha, Deputy Head of the National Key Program Management Board, Director of the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM), said that one of the priorities in the coming time is to create favorable conditions for leading international professors and experts to teach in Vietnam, thereby improving academic quality and expanding opportunities for exchange and learning.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Head of the Executive Board of the National Key Program for Mathematics Development in the 2021-2030 period, Nguyen Van Phuc, said that the State will continue to create the most favorable conditions for the program to achieve its goals. The Ministry of Education and Training is committed to accompanying, especially through amending the Law on Higher Education to promote a flexible training mechanism, suitable for the requirements of in-depth development of Mathematics at VIASM.
In the coming time, the Ministry of Education will promote the attraction of international experts and scientists to work directly in Vietnam. Creating conditions for implementing work as soon as experts arrive is very important, not only helping to enhance research capacity, but also contributing to the program's deep integration with the international community, raising the quality and position of Vietnamese Mathematics.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc emphasized the need to clarify the specific role and promote the strengths of VIASM as an excellent research center, with international academic standing and playing a leading role in the development of Vietnamese Mathematics. Further promote the coordination mechanism between VIASM and domestic universities and research institutes in the training of high-quality human resources.
With the goal of bringing Vietnamese Mathematics into the world's leading group, the Deputy Minister suggested that VIASM focus on attracting Vietnamese talents globally, mobilizing total intelligence at home and abroad.
Clearly define the targets for doctoral training, develop high-quality human resources and improve the quality of teaching general mathematics, while promoting international publications and enhancing research and application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of mathematics.
