In the final match of the Open men's doubles of this tournament, Dat "tro" and Trieu "cau ban" faced a very strong pair, Linh "muoi" (full name is Dinh Quang Linh, currently the coach of the national table tennis team) and Tri "chuot" (full name is Vu Huu Tri).
In the first set, Dat "tro" and Trieu "cau ban" won convincingly with a score of 11-6. However, in the second set, both unexpectedly lost to the pair Linh "muoi" and Tri "chuot" with a score difference of 1-11.

Also on July 18, the pair Sy Boi Ngoc - Aiko Yoshitoma unexpectedly lost to the pair Sophia Huynh Tran Ngoc Nhi - Connie Lee in the final match of the Open women's doubles and regrettably lost the championship. Notably, Sy Boi Ngoc and her teammate Tran Huyen Trang were the champions of the Open women's doubles at the recent Dan Tri newspaper pickleball tournament.

On the evening of July 18, the opening ceremony of the first Northern People's Public Security Pickleball Tournament in 2025 took place at the US Pickleball Court (Yen Phu, Tay Ho, Hanoi ).
“This is not only a large-scale, professional sports tournament of the Public Security sector, but also a cultural event with community connection; an important test step to standardize the process of organizing sports activities of the Public Security sector in a professional direction.
We believe that the tournament is an opportunity to connect units, between the police force and the people, together spreading the movement of training the health, spirit and bravery of police soldiers to the community, aiming at the core value of "Healthy to protect the Fatherland, healthy to build the country" - Colonel Nguyen Thi Thuy Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament spoke at the opening ceremony.
The tournament was organized by the Vietnam Police Sports Association in collaboration with New Sports Joint Stock Company and Life Vision Media Joint Stock Company with the message "Training to contribute, courage to create glory".
The tournament brings together 650 athletes who are officers and soldiers from police units and non-police units in the Northern region. The athletes will compete in 11 events in two categories: Movement and Open.
In particular, the movement class is for officers and soldiers of the Public Security units and localities with headquarters from Hue city and above; divided into 2 age groups under 35 and over 35.
The Open Class is for qualified athletes from units, localities; Pickleball clubs nationwide. The Open Class has no level limit and no age group for athletes.
In addition, the tournament has the participation of many guest athletes and influential people in the sports community such as Ly Hoang Nam, Truong Vinh Hien, Sophia Phuong Anh, Tran Huyen Trang, Kenta Miyoshi, Jimmy Liong, Jack Wong...
After the Open system has closed, athletes will continue to compete in the amateur system on July 19 and 20.
