A space imbued with the unique character of Kinh Bac
Right from the entrance to the Bac Ninh booth area, visitors are impressed by the exhibition gate designed to resemble the province's logo, prominently featuring the theme "Bac Ninh Products - The Quintessence of Kinh Bac". In the center of the space is a small stage with a large LED screen, continuously displaying images of historical sites, traditional festivals, landscapes, and the people of Bac Ninh. Particularly, the sweet melodies of Quan Ho folk songs performed live by male and female singers create a unique cultural highlight, attracting many visitors to stop and enjoy the experience.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of several central ministries and agencies visited Bac Ninh's exhibition booth at the Spring Fair 2026. |
On the opening day of the fair (February 2nd), the Bac Ninh booth had the honor of welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other central government leaders. The Prime Minister personally listened to Quan Ho folk singing and visited and encouraged the businesses and cooperatives participating in the exhibition. The attention of the government leaders further affirmed the significance and position of the Bac Ninh booth at this national-scale trade promotion event.
The first Spring Fair in 2026 will be held from February 2-13, 2026 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi). Bac Ninh province will participate with nearly 100 agricultural products, OCOP products, processed products, and handicrafts from 10 businesses and cooperatives in the province. Here, artisans from traditional craft villages such as Dong Ho paintings, Dai Bai bronze casting, Phu Khe wood carving, Phu Lang pottery, and Xuan Hoi rattan weaving will display their products and demonstrate production techniques. Traditional Quan Ho folk singers from Hoai Trung, Dao Xa, Liem Xa, and Diem villages will perform Quan Ho folk singing and showcase traditional and modern Quan Ho costumes. |
Surrounding the stage area is a rich system of exhibition booths featuring hundreds of OCOP (One Commune One Product) items, characteristic agricultural products, and traditional craft products. Particularly noteworthy are the orange and pomelo trees laden with sweet fruit, brought directly from the orchards of Luc Ngan to the fair, serving both as a decorative highlight and a showcase of local specialties.
Local food products and familiar items such as Dinh Bang sticky rice cakes, Bui spring rolls, Van village wine, Ban Ven tea, Danh mountain ginseng, Cho village rice cakes, Trang Liet peanut candy, Chu rice noodles, Son Dong vermicelli, Yen The hill chicken, lychees, etc., are popular choices for Tet gifts for many tourists. Alongside these are handicraft exhibitions featuring exquisite copper products from Dai Bai village, vibrant Dong Ho folk paintings, and traditional Phu Lang pottery.
In particular, demonstrations of traditional crafts such as Dong Ho folk painting and Phu Lang pottery making attract a large number of visitors, especially young people. Many enjoy witnessing each stage of production firsthand, thereby gaining a better understanding of the cultural value and creative labor of the artisans.
The Bắc Ninh booth was always bustling with visitors. Mr. Nguyễn Viết Đức (born in 1952), from Hamlet 6, Phù Ninh Commune (Phú Thọ Province), shared: “The Bắc Ninh exhibition space is very beautiful and reflects the local culture. The products are diverse and of good quality, and I also got to experience Quan Họ folk culture, so going to the fair was very enjoyable and meaningful.”
Trade promotion linked with cultural promotion.
Beyond its impressive appearance, Bac Ninh's participation in the 2026 Spring Fair also brought practical benefits in trade promotion and market expansion for businesses and cooperatives. According to Ms. Han Thi Luyen, Director of the Han Thi Medicinal Herbs Cooperative (Trung Kenh commune), the cooperative brought four products made from noni fruit, cultivated and processed by the cooperative itself, to the fair: noni juice concentrate, noni tea, noni wine, and noni soaked in honey. These are large-scale, unique noni-based products in the North. The products attracted a large number of customers from the very first days of the fair. “We have connected with many distribution partners in Hanoi and other northern provinces. This is a great opportunity for the cooperative's products to reach a wider market,” Ms. Luyen said.

Sharing the same view, Ms. Dang Thi Tam, Director of Minh Tam Pottery and Tourism Cooperative (Phu Lang commune), said that many pottery products on display were purchased by customers right at the fair. In addition, the Cooperative also signed several cooperation agreements with travel agencies to bring tourists to experience the craft village.
According to Mr. Dang Tien Dung, Director of the Bac Ninh Center for Industry and Trade Development, the 2026 Spring Fair is an important trade promotion activity, creating opportunities to strongly promote OCOP products, processed agricultural products, and handicraft products of the province. Mr. Dung emphasized: “Through large-scale fairs, Bac Ninh not only promotes product consumption but also gradually builds brands, expands distribution systems, and aims for sustainable production development.” It is known that in the coming time, the province will continue to support businesses and cooperatives in improving product quality, innovating designs, and meeting market demands; while also increasing participation in domestic and international trade promotion events.
In fact, the harmonious combination of product display and cultural performances at the Bac Ninh booth created a unique attraction. Visitors not only came to shop but also to experience the Kinh Bac cultural space, enjoy Quan Ho folk singing, and learn about traditional crafts.
Amidst the vibrant atmosphere of the 2026 Spring Fair (held from February 2-13, 2026, bringing together thousands of booths from across the country), Bac Ninh's exhibition area stands out as a highlight rich in cultural identity. From fresh agricultural products and high-quality OCOP products to the essence of long-standing traditional crafts, Bac Ninh has brought to the fair not only a wide variety of goods but also the image of a dynamic and traditional Quan Ho region. This mark not only contributes to enhancing the value of local products but also affirms the effectiveness of trade promotion combined with cultural promotion – a sustainable direction for the province's economic development in the future.
