Cultural storytelling in the heart of the cave
After 6 months of launching, the live show "Finding the pearl" combined with cuisine was launched at Ngoc Rong Cave (or Bat Cave) in Vung Duc Relic and Scenic Area, organized and operated by Asia Luxury Cruise Corporation (APC Corporation) in collaboration with Ngoc Rong Cave Company Limited, attracting 20,000 visitors. In particular, international visitors accounted for 80%, partly proving the attraction of Quang Ninh's new tourism product.
For the first time in Vietnam, on a unique stage in a cave, the live show "Finding the Pearl" was developed in the spirit of cultural creativity, creating a unique tourism product, adding more experiences for visitors, and at the same time aiming to expand the tourism space connecting Ha Long Bay with Bai Tu Long Bay.

Inspired by the legend of the Dragon Mother, the play cleverly combines elements of water, stone, flowers, Mother Goddess worship and the cultural identity of the Northeast region to tell a story full of symbols, honoring the rich cultural values of Quang Ninh , where maritime culture, spiritual culture and Mining culture intersect. The highlight of the show is the Mother Goddess worship - one of the long-standing cultural values with profound significance in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese people, recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, bringing a spiritual experience, helping visitors, especially international visitors, to deeply understand Vietnamese identity.
From the modern sound and lighting system and unique cultural stories expressed through the smooth and harmonious combination of stage performances with dance, circus, and folk music, creating moments of satisfaction for the audience. Visitors not only admire the beautiful scenery but also live in the space of legends, heritage and cultural creation, which is something that not every place can bring. With sophisticated staging, the play exploits the depth of stage art, evoking love and pride in the national cultural treasure.

Ms. Lambonao Michelle, a tourist from the Philippines, shared : I did not think I would experience so many values and cultural beauties in just one evening. In the magical cave space, folk tales, traditional music and local cuisine are combined very harmoniously. Dishes made from fresh seafood not only awaken the taste buds but also tell a true story about the lives of coastal people. Everything is genuine and full of emotions.
Recently, the Asia Awards Organization (AAO) announced the selection of Ngoc Rong Cave in Quang Ninh province as the host of the Asian Architecture Awards and the Asian Travel and Tourism Awards 2026. And in the Asia Travel and Tourism Awards category, Ngoc Rong Cave was honored as an outstanding new cultural destination.
On a journey imbued with Vietnamese soul
Since 2023, the multimedia art show "Dance of the Sea" has been performed on the 5-star restaurant superyacht Paradise Delight (belonging to Paradise Vietnam Group) in the middle of Ha Long Bay. This show is considered the opening step for the trend of exploiting cultural depth in tourism products on the bay, making indigenous cultural values an important "material" to enhance the experience for tourists. With the form of storytelling using LED light projection technology, music and traditional dance, the show recreates the legend of the Dragon and Fairy's descendants, the majestic beauty of Ha Long Bay and the life of fishermen in the sea. Following that success, in early October, the overnight cruise Paradise Legacy officially launched, opening a journey to experience a unique marine culture intertwined with the cultural quintessence of the Northern Delta right in the heart of the heritage bay.
Coming to Vietnam for the first time, Ms. Beth Fatherty (an American tourist) chose Ha Long Bay as the first destination in her journey of discovery. What surprised her most was not only the majestic landscape of the world natural heritage, but also the gentle and delicate way Vietnamese culture was told in each experience on the bay.
Ms. Beth Fathert shared: As a lover of traditional culture, I was really impressed with the way Paradise Legacy subtly integrated Vietnamese elements into the journey. From the traditional Ao Dai neatly folded for guests, the folk paintings hanging in the rooms, to the exquisite cuisine served, everything brought a very close, very Vietnamese feeling. The moment of wearing Ao Dai, walking on the deck in the middle of the immense sea and sky to watch the bay at sunset and capturing beautiful photos is one of the things I really enjoy.

Designed for a cultural exploration journey, Paradise Legacy takes visitors through the beautiful iconic destinations of Ha Long Bay such as Tung Sau pearl village, Ti Top island, Me Cung cave... Each stop is not only a beautiful scene, but also associated with stories about the life of coastal residents, pearl farming, or the typical religious customs of the bay.
Cuisine on Paradise Legacy is also a cultural journey. The unlimited dinner menu offers two options: a refined Vietnamese meal or a luxurious European meal. In particular, visitors can join a cooking class for “Trang An dumplings”, wrapping and frying them themselves and enjoying the results of their work. Along with that, when the sunset falls, visitors can enjoy Vietnamese afternoon tea right on the deck, in a space filled with the evening light and gentle sea breeze. On the tea table are familiar traditional cakes such as green rice cakes, husband and wife cakes, jams, etc. Every detail, from the blue-glazed tea set to the decoration, is meticulously cared for, imbued with the Vietnamese soul.

Mr. Joselito, Paradise Legacy Cruise Manager, shared: From cave exploration, kayaking to cultural experiences right on the cruise through the interior space, cuisine, costumes to music, all are delicately integrated into the story of Vietnamese culture. We hope that each cruise is not only a luxury vacation, but also a journey to discover national identity. This approach not only enriches the service value chain on Ha Long Bay, but also contributes to enhancing Quang Ninh cultural tourism products, prolonging the length of stay of tourists, towards developing sustainable tourism associated with Vietnamese identity.
The attraction of traditional festivals
Quang Ninh currently has 42 ethnic minorities living together, each ethnic group has its own festivals associated with customs, practices, beliefs and productive labor life. Luc Hon commune is a locality with over 98% of ethnic minorities Tay, Dao, San Chi... In recent years, this locality has maintained a systematic organization, honoring unique cultural values so that traditional festivals and holidays become a tourism "brand" attracting a large number of visitors every autumn and winter.

In autumn, the mountains and hills here are covered with the golden color of ripe terraced fields, interspersed with the romantic white color of reed grass stretching along the border patrol routes. That space is dotted with the immense green of anise and cinnamon forests, creating a bright and spacious natural picture. When the Golden Season Festival ends at the end of November, the border land continues to attract tourists with the season of pure white sophora flowers throughout the mountains and forests.
Not only the natural beauty, the traditional festivals here are the special highlights that make tourists fascinated and loved. In the bustling festival space, people and tourists join in folk games, ethnic sports such as spinning top, throwing con, walking on stilts, pushing sticks, tug of war... At the same time, many unique rituals are vividly recreated by the indigenous community such as the coming-of-age ceremony of the Dao people, the wedding ceremony of the Dao and San Chi people, the first birthday ceremony of the Tay people, along with sweet folk melodies such as then singing - tinh lute, Soong co singing... have helped tourists experience and deeply feel the rhythm of life, community spirit and the source of local culture.

Along with the Golden Season Festival, So Flower Festival (Luc Hon commune), at the end of the year, Quang Ninh is bustling with the traditional festival atmosphere of ethnic groups such as: Ban Vuong Festival (Ba Che), Duc Ong Hoang Can Temple Festival and the Cultural - Sports Festival of ethnic groups in Hai Lang commune, Golden Season Festival of Soong Co region in Dong Ngu commune, Yen Tu festival with Dao Thanh Y cultural experience, or Quang Ninh culinary festival...
Each festival is a vivid piece of indigenous cultural life, recreating customs, beliefs and traditional values preserved through many generations. It is this diversity that creates a unique experience space, for visitors to both immerse themselves in the rhythm of community life and explore the cultural depth of the heritage land.

Exploiting unique cultural values is becoming a prominent and sustainable direction, creating new attraction for Quang Ninh tourism products. Culture is not only preserved but also "awakened", accompanying tourism, helping tourists not only come and see, but also live and fully feel the beauty of the land, culture and people of the rich-identity mining region.
