The recalled product batch has number 0050924, expiry date is September 13, 2027. The product is manufactured by Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company Branch in Ha Nam , belonging to Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company (address at Phap Van new urban area, Hoang Liet ward, Hoang Mai district, Hanoi city).
The above cosmetic sample was taken by the Testing Center - Tra Vinh Provincial Department of Health at Long Chau Pharmacy (in Hamlet 1, Ward 1, Duyen Hai Town, Tra Vinh Province) for quality testing. The sample did not meet quality standards because it contained Methylparaben - a preservative that is not included in the product formula that has been granted a Cosmetic Product Declaration Receipt Number. This violates current regulations on cosmetic management.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests to suspend circulation and recall nationwide the batch of Aladin lice-free herbal shampoo (box of 1 tube of 30g) with the above batch number. At the same time, it requests the Department of Health of provinces and cities to notify businesses and cosmetic users in the area to immediately stop trading and using the above batch of products and return them to the supplier.
Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company and its branch in Ha Nam are responsible for notifying the distribution points of the recall, receiving returned products, recalling and destroying all violating batches. The report on the results of the recall and destruction must be sent to the Department of Drug Administration before May 3, 2025.
In addition, the Department requested the Hanoi Department of Health and the Ha Nam Department of Health to monitor the process of product recall and destruction, and at the same time inspect the compliance with legal regulations in the production and trading of cosmetics of Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company. Violations, if any, will be handled according to regulations.
