- As far as I know, parents are upset because they think the school did not properly implement the process of implementing the uniform for extracurricular and Thursday classes for students. Specifically, at the meeting of the parent representative committee of each class, school year 2025-2026 in mid-September, the school had just announced the policy, but the next day some classes distributed uniforms, while the school-wide parent meeting was not held until September 20. Many parents said that the school implemented it without receiving the consensus of all parents, which is against the regulations (!?).
- What about the quality of the uniform?
- Many parents were upset because the shirts they received were not the same as the brand the school initially announced, priced from 195,000-200,000 VND (depending on size). When receiving the shirts, parents complained that there was no brand logo; the fabric was stiff, and the price was too high. After the "noise", the school stopped implementing the uniform for students, and at the same time informed parents to return the shirts, even though many of the shirts had been used.
- If this is the reality, then there is a great need for correction from schools so that the educational environment is not affected by these unfortunate incidents!
- Circular No. 26/2009/TT-BGDDT has detailed regulations on uniforms for students. This regulation aims to protect the rights of students and parents, and prevent negative manifestations that may arise. In my opinion, first of all, the school must follow the correct procedures and regulations of the law. Once everything is done publicly, transparently, and in accordance with regulations, parents will agree.
In fact, when the homeroom teacher informed them about this plan, in addition to the parents who agreed with the school's policy, some other parents, although disagreeing, did not express their opinions, and then "exposed" it on social networks. This does not show the spirit of giving constructive feedback.
From this incident, it is thought that parents also need to pay attention and learn more about the plans and regulations of the school and the education sector to avoid "after the fact" disputes that affect the learning environment of their children.
