According to the Tay Ninh Provincial Women's Union, the activities are being implemented based on building upon the achievements of the 2017-2022 period, while addressing existing limitations and adapting to the practical conditions following the reorganization and merger of administrative units. The goal is to further enhance the role, voice, and proactive role of women in addressing social issues, especially those directly related to women and girls.
Activities are implemented throughout the province, focusing on communes, wards, and towns; with particular attention paid to vulnerable women groups such as migrant women workers and female workers in industrial zones and export processing zones.
The overarching theme is "Safety for Women and Children," with key contents including preventing and combating domestic violence and gender-based violence; guiding parents in caring for, educating, and protecting children; and ensuring food safety and hygiene.
By 2027, the Tay Ninh Provincial Women's Union aims to provide approximately 750,000 members, women, and parents with children under 16 years old with knowledge of the law, parenting skills, and skills to prevent and combat gender-based violence; of which, at least 60% will experience a positive change in behavior.
In addition, approximately 360,000 women were provided with skills to prevent and combat domestic violence; and more than 3,400 women at risk of or who had violated ethical and legal norms received support and intervention to change their behavior.
In addition, 100% of the specialized staff involved in implementing the activities received training to enhance their capacity. All communes and wards in the province maintained and expanded at least one effective model supporting women's participation in addressing social issues in the community.
To achieve its objectives, the Tay Ninh Provincial Women's Union is strengthening its communication efforts through direct communication and mass media; organizing training to enhance the capacity of its officials at all levels; developing and replicating models such as "Trusted Addresses in the Community," happy family clubs, parent groups with children aged 0-8, and clean production and consumption models linked to food safety. Simultaneously, it is enhancing its role in monitoring and providing social feedback on policies related to women and children.
The implementation process is regularly monitored and evaluated; periodic reviews and summaries are organized, and outstanding collectives and individuals are promptly commended, aiming for each Women's Union branch to have at least one effective model on "Safety for women and children".
