At the meeting, representatives fromFPT Corporation introduced nine AI-based solutions for the healthcare sector aimed at addressing hospital overcrowding, manpower shortages, complex administrative procedures, and improving the quality of medical examination and treatment at healthcare facilities.

The solutions include: Smart appointment scheduling system (using AI and chatbots to help patients enter their symptoms; the AI will predict the cause of the illness, create a draft medical record, and suggest a suitable appointment time to reduce waiting times); smart appointment registration coordination system (using QR codes and AI to automatically classify patients by symptoms, supporting quick navigation and reducing congestion in the registration area); AI-powered patient flow management system (AI analyzes patient flow, forecasts demand in real time, and suggests the optimal appointment order for patients).

In addition, there are other solutions such as: automated medical image quality checking (AI automatically detects poor-quality MRI, CT, and X-ray images, requiring immediate re-sampling, saving time and improving diagnostic accuracy); AI-assisted analysis and interpretation of diagnostic imaging results (AI helps doctors detect abnormalities early, shortening film reading time and improving diagnostic accuracy); automated medical report drafting (AI creates draft reports from test results and images, doctors only need to review and approve them).

Solutions include: online medical examination and treatment results delivery (digitizing results, integrating image storage and transmission systems, helping patients receive results quickly and receive remote consultations and treatment); AI verification of medical document accuracy (AI detects errors, missing information, or anomalies in medical records, reducing risks and losses); and hospital operations assistant (AI analyzes operational data, identifies bottlenecks, and suggests resource allocation solutions for hospital leaders).

According to Le Quang Trung, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Health: Both public and private healthcare facilities in the province are accelerating the digital transformation of healthcare through the implementation of electronic medical records, cashless payments, and the deployment of smart medical kiosks… Digital transformation in healthcare is no longer an option but a mandatory requirement to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, aiming for patient satisfaction. In addition, the application of AI in healthcare also brings short-term, medium-term, and long-term benefits, contributing to improved management efficiency, enhanced patient experience, and the promotion of comprehensive digital transformation in the healthcare sector.

The health sector is continuing its efforts to coordinate with relevant units to expedite the transfer of health sector data to the province's Smart Operations Center. Therefore, it is requested that subordinate units develop specific plans to coordinate implementation according to the schedule.
