30th Golden Apricot Award Nominations

According to the rules, the nomination round for the 30th Golden Apricot Award - 2024 will take place until November 25, 2024.

There are only 6 days left for readers to exercise their right to nominate, helping the Organizing Committee select artists and works worthy of competing for the 30th Mai Vang Award - 2024. After November 25, nomination ballots will be invalid, and ballots printed later will be based on the postmark .

The Art Council was established by the Editor-in-Chief of the Lao Dong Newspaper, and is composed of members who are famous artists in the industry and prestigious experts. The Organizing Committee and the Art Council will also consider the nominations of readers to decide how many categories will continue to be included in the voting round.

Mai Vang Award - organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper - is an annual award nominated and voted by readers for individuals, groups of artists, works, and television programs taking place during the year (from December of the previous year to the end of November of the following year) that are most loved by the public - the newspaper's readers.

At the end of the nomination round, if any category receives too few nominations from readers, the Steering Committee of the 30th Golden Apricot Awards - 2024 and the Arts Council will consider whether to keep or remove that category, not including it in the voting round.

The 30th Golden Apricot Award - 2024 voting round will take place from December 4, 2024 to January 3, 2025. The 30th Golden Apricot Award - 2024 ceremony and the 30th Anniversary Golden Apricot Award Gala will take place on the night of January 8, 2025 at the City Theater (HCMC). The program will be broadcast live on VTV9; Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper will report online on its platforms.

Instructions on how to nominate

This year's nomination process has changed compared to last year: Readers must register an account on Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper to be able to submit nominations.

Readers can access https://maivang.nld.com.vn or click on the banner "Invite readers to nominate for the 2024 Mai Vang Award" on the homepage of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper (nld.com.vn) and log in. If you forget your password, click on the "Forgot password" button to reset it.

To submit a nomination, readers need to have at least 5 points (equivalent to 5,000 VND) in their account. Readers can choose to top up points by clicking the "Top up more points" button and choosing from available packages or freely entering the number of points they want to top up their account, then following the instructions on the screen.

In the payment method selection step, readers choose the MoMo, ZaloPay, Internet Banking app via the Napas portal; or pay via QR code scanning by selecting the Ngan Luong portal. After having at least 5 points in the account, readers choose the category they want to nominate and then enter the name of the artist, work or program they love. Then, readers enter the total number of votes they predict (to be considered for a prize) and click the "Submit nomination" button to send.

Readers can nominate their favorite artists, works or programs in one or more categories in the fields of music, theater, cinema - television, and programs. In each category, readers can only nominate one individual, group of artists, works or programs per day. The prizes for readers who nominate include: 1 first prize: 5 million VND; 1 second prize: 3 million VND; 1 third prize: 2 million VND and 10 consolation prizes: 1 million VND/prize.

The winning ticket is the ticket with nominations in the voting list announced by the Organizing Committee; the prediction of the number of votes participating in the nomination is closest to the total number of votes nominated on the electronic newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong, the mobile version of Nguoi Lao Dong. The winning reader will be subject to income tax according to the law.
