According to Le Quoc Hai, Vice Principal of Quang Tri Teacher Training College, equipping students with digital skills and promoting creative thinking has always been one of the school's key activities. Accordingly, in the 2025-2026 academic year, AI skills training courses and workshops to enhance scientific research capabilities will be effectively implemented for students.
Furthermore, in March 2026, to promote the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology in teaching, learning, and educational management, Quang Tri College of Education also organized a scientific conference with the theme "Applying AI and digital technology to improve the quality of education and training." The conference created a forum for administrators and lecturers to exchange experiences, identify opportunities and challenges, and propose solutions to integrate AI into teaching, scientific research, and educational management in the context of digital transformation.
Another highlight is the implementation of the project "Enhancing Digital Competence for Early Childhood Education Students at Quang Tri College of Education," conducted by Dr. Le Quoc Hai, Vice Principal of the college; Master Le Anh Phi, Head of the Early Childhood Education Department; and Dr. Hoang Huu Tan, Vice Principal of Quang Tri College of Education's Inter-level School. The project has practical significance in the context of the current digital transformation of education, affirming that digital competence is no longer an auxiliary skill, but a crucial professional competency for future early childhood education teachers.

This research project has systematized the theoretical basis of digital competence, the digital competence framework for learners, teacher training students, and teachers; and simultaneously selected and adjusted the competence framework to suit the specific characteristics of students in the Early Childhood Education major. In particular, the project has added a group of artificial intelligence (AI) competencies, in line with modern educational trends. In practical terms, the project provides a basis for Quang Tri Teacher Training College to innovate its training programs, organize digital skills training, develop self-study materials, and gradually assess and recognize digital competence for its students.
At Quang Binh University (QU), enhancing students' digital skills and creative thinking is a priority for the university, implemented regularly and effectively. According to Hoang Anh Vu, Secretary of the QU Youth Union, in 2025, the university organized training courses for students on entrepreneurship, digital transformation, artificial intelligence applications, and intellectual property; and launched a competition for students with innovative startup ideas. This contributes to promoting scientific research and digital transformation within the university, equipping students with knowledge and skills in digital transformation, information technology, and intellectual property. Simultaneously, it creates an environment for students to develop and realize their startup ideas, solutions, and projects, creating value for themselves, their families, the community, and society.
The competition alone attracted 14 outstanding startup ideas from students across various departments within the university. The final round, held in September 2025, featured many engaging presentations showcasing the creativity, serious investment, and entrepreneurial aspirations of the students. During the awards ceremony, the university also organized a forum titled "Promoting Creative Startup Ideas," creating a networking space between students and experienced experts, entrepreneurs, and lecturers in the fields of entrepreneurship and information technology. Notably, at the 3rd Creative Startup Competition - 2025, organized by the Standing Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union (formerly), the university's students excelled, winning one first prize, one third prize, and two consolation prizes in the student category.
In May 2025, Quang Binh University also successfully organized a scientific conference on the theme: "Start-ups and Entrepreneurship for Students in the Digital Age". Many startup models linked to local characteristics were shared, demonstrating the connection between theory and practice, between the university and the local community. Within the framework of the conference, the university also signed cooperation agreements with various organizations and businesses.
“The Student Union highly anticipates that solutions to enhance students' digital skills and creative thinking will continue to be effectively implemented. In particular, the model of a student entrepreneurship support center will continue to be implemented to further promote the spirit of innovation in the digital age,” added Hoang Anh Vu.
Furthermore, credit must also be given to the efforts of the Provincial Youth Union and relevant departments and agencies in fostering digital skills and creative thinking among students. It is hoped that in the future, flexible, creative, and effective solutions will continue to be prioritized, helping students avoid confusion, not be left behind, and confidently establish their careers in the digital age.
