The Department of Construction proposes that the Da Nang City People's Committee agree to assign the Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Projects to coordinate with Minh Tuan Tu Consulting and Construction Company Limited to develop a plan to continue utilizing the two mascot models, Kim Ma Hop Nhat and Kim Ma 4.0, after the decoration period ends (part of the project "Flower and Lighting Decoration for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026").
These two mascot models are proposed for placement as decorations in public areas throughout the city because both models possess significant artistic value and symbolic meaning for Da Nang in its new era of development and the upward striving of the Vietnamese nation.
The two mascot models will continue to be decorated from after the Lunar New Year until the end of September 2026 to ensure safety before the rainy and stormy season. The funding for this project is provided by Minh Tuan Tu Consulting and Construction Co., Ltd.
Specifically, the Department of Construction agreed with the opinion of the Investment and Urban Planning Division of the City People's Committee Office to continue maintaining the placement of the Kim Ma 4.0 mascot model at its current location (southern landscape platform of the Dragon Bridge) to serve the needs of residents and tourists.
The explanation given is that this location offers many beautiful viewpoints, attracting the attention of tourists from near and far, and is also advantageous in promoting the dynamic development image of Da Nang city.
The Golden Horse 4.0 model represents the mascot of a horse symbolizing digital transformation, harmoniously blending decorative art with the spirit of speed, innovation, digital transformation, and smart urban development in Da Nang city.
Meanwhile, the Kim Ma Hop Nhat model, currently displayed on the sidewalk in front of the T-shaped bridge (Bach Dang Street, Hai Chau Ward), measures 3.7m x 3.8m x 1.5m and is constructed from a metal frame with letters spelling out the names of Da Nang city and its 94 administrative units at the commune, ward, and special zone levels.
The model has a strong, imposing appearance, combining the harmonious features of sculptural art with symbolic representation of modern urban spaces and the aspirations for development of Da Nang city in the new year 2026.
The Department of Construction has proposed relocating the Kim Ma Hop Nhat model from the sidewalk in front of the T-shaped bridge to the landscaped lake area on Thanh Dien Hai Street, in front of the Da Nang City Administrative Center.
Regarding the small-scale mascot models in the Flower and Lighting Decoration project for the 2026 Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse), the Department of Construction proposes that the City People's Committee agree to allow kindergartens in the city to receive and redecorate their premises (similar to the Year of the Rabbit 2023).
The People's Committee at the commune level, in coordination with the kindergartens under its management, will compile a specific list and contact Minh Tuan Tu Consulting and Construction Co., Ltd. directly to propose the needs for receiving and handing over the materials, and proactively handle the transportation and redecoration.
