Swinburne University of Technology awards scholarships to contestants of Road to Olympia

Australia Swinburne University of Technology offers scholarships to four finalists, and supports 50% of tuition fees for the female contestant with the best performance in the Road to Olympia.

The scholarships were awarded to four candidates Nguyen Viet Thanh, Nguyen Minh Triet, Le Xuan Manh, Nguyen Trong Thanh at Daewoo Hotel ( Hanoi ) right after the competition. The important milestone of the young talent was witnessed by representatives of Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne, Australia), VTV3, IDP Education in Hanoi and teachers of the Advisory Board of the Road to Olympia program.

The school awarded a scholarship worth 100% of tuition fees to champion Le Xuan Manh (Ham Rong High School, Thanh Hoa); 50% of tuition fees to runner-up Nguyen Trong Thanh (Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, Hai Phong ). The two third prize winners, Nguyen Viet Thanh (Soc Son High School - Hanoi) and Nguyen Minh Triet (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, Hue) received scholarships worth 30% of tuition fees.

This year is also the first year that Swinburne University of Technology has awarded a 50% tuition scholarship to the best female candidate to encourage the development and efforts of young girls.

At the scholarship award ceremony, Ms Bronte Neyland shared that Swinburne highly appreciated the program and the winning candidates. She hoped to be able to welcome them to join the group of excellent students of the school in the near future.

This is For the 23rd year, Swinburne University has accompanied the Road to Olympia to demonstrate its goodwill and desire to support candidates on their journey to find a good learning environment and pursue their academic career after high school. With this support, many candidates coming out of the program have the opportunity to study and develop in an advancededucational environment, opening the door to success in their careers. The school has become the destination, the "common home" of many Olympia candidates since the early years.

In 2000, the first champion of the program, Tran Ngoc Minh (Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted, Vinh Long) received a partial scholarship from Swinburne University of Technology. After graduating from high school, Ngoc Minh chose to study the Engineering Program majoring in Telecommunications and Information Technology. She completed her undergraduate degree with excellent results and was one of the few students to continue receiving a full scholarship for the university's Information Networking Research Program.

Most recently, the 2022 Olympia champion Dang Le Nguyen Vu also decided to go to Swinburne University of Technology (Australia). The male student will begin his studies here with a scholarship received from the program, including 40,000 USD (more than 975 million VND) and a scholarship worth 100% of tuition fees awarded by the school.

“They are all successful and developing their careers in their chosen fields. They are talented students, excellent achievers and great ambassadors for Swinburne,” Ms Bronte Neyland stressed.

According to her, Swinburne's vision is to combine people and technology to build a better world. The school focuses on how technology can solve some of the world's biggest challenges, bringing social, environmental, economic and cultural benefits. Talented students like the Road to Olympia Finalists are well-equipped to solve these challenges.
