Moved 4 houses in landslide risk area to safety

Colonel Hoang Van Man, Political Commissar of the Da Nang City Border Guard Command, said that by noon on November 13, officers and soldiers of Ga Ry Border Guard Station, the authorities of Hung Son Commune (Da Nang) and local forces had completed the relocation of four houses of people in the area at risk of landslides to a safe place.

Accordingly, on the afternoon of November 12, Ga Ry Border Guard Station discovered in Da'ding village, Hung Son commune, 4 households with more than 20 people living near an area at risk of especially dangerous landslides. Ga Ry Border Guard Station worked with the local authorities and functional agencies, coming up with a plan to safely and intact move the 4 above-mentioned houses and their residents to a safe place.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Son Commune, Zoram Buon, said that thanks to experience from previous house moves, officers and soldiers of Ga Ry Border Guard Station and local forces moved 4 houses intact, without causing any damage during the move.

The locality is entering the rainy season, along with helping people stabilize their lives after recent heavy rains and floods, local authorities continue to inspect, review, and promptly detect residential areas in areas at risk of landslides in order to promptly move them to safety.

Previously, at the end of September 2025, in Hung Son commune, there was heavy rain for many days, high mountains in this area accumulated a large amount of water, many landslides appeared, threatening the safety of people's lives. Typically, in the residential area of ​​Put village, Hung Son commune, after discovering cracks in the mountain, with the risk of landslides at any time, officers and soldiers of Ga Ry Border Guard Station coordinated with the authorities, police, militia and local people to move 7 houses in the dangerous area and all 38 people of these 7 households to a safe place. Immediately after that, many cracks in Put village area turned into landslides.
