Northern region

The price of live pigs today (January 2, 2025) in the Northern region continued to move sideways on the second day of the new year 2025. Currently, Northern traders are purchasing live pigs at around 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.

Hanoi and Bac Giang still maintain the highest price of live pigs in the country at 69,000 VND/kg. The remaining localities in the region are trading live pig prices commonly from 67,000 - 68,000 VND/kg.

Central Highlands region

Similarly, the price of live pigs today (January 2, 2025) in the Central Highlands region also recorded stable prices in the provinces and cities in the region. Compared to yesterday (January 1, 2025), the provinces of Quang Binh , Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa all increased by 1,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the price of live pigs in the Central Highlands fluctuates between 64,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.

Lam Dong still maintains the highest price of live pigs in the region at 69,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, live pigs in Binh Thuan and Dak Lak have increased to the same purchasing level as Thanh Hoa, reaching 68,000 VND/kg; Quang Nam increased to 66,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces have live pig prices ranging from 65,000 - 67,000 VND/kg.

Southern region

Along with the above two regions, the price of live pigs in the Southern region today (January 2, 2025) also recorded stability. Compared to yesterday, the two provinces of Binh Duong and Ben Tre both increased by 1,000 VND/kg and reached 68,000 VND/kg and 67,000 VND/kg respectively.

Currently, the price of live pigs in the Southern region is fluctuating between 64,000 - 69,000 VND/kg. Of which, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh have the highest price of live pigs in the region, both reaching 69,000 VND/kg.

In general, the live hog market today has slowed down after many consecutive days of increase in some provinces and cities across the country. Surveys show that live hogs nationwide are being traded at around 64,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.
