Ta Phinh Village, Son La
Ta Phinh village, Tan Yen commune, located about 200km from Hanoi and about 25km from the center of Moc Chau ward, is home to the Mong ethnic minority.
The village still retains its pristine, peaceful beauty with traditional houses surrounded by lush green mountains, plum and peach orchards, meadows, and rustic, poetic flower fields.

Visiting the village during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, tourists can leisurely stroll through the village to admire the scenery, breathe in the fresh air, and discover the lifestyle and culture of the local people.
Here, oddly shaped rock formations "sprout amidst" the yellow and white hues of rapeseed flowers. The benches, swings, wooden bridges, fences, and even the everyday farming and livestock areas of the locals unintentionally become beautiful photo spots for tourists.

This area currently lacks tourist services, making it ideal for travelers who appreciate peace, unspoiled nature, or want to experience camping. Along the way to the village, visitors can stop by the heart-shaped tea hill, the plum valley, or take a shortcut to Hang Tau – another very famous village in Moc Chau.
Quynh Son Village, Lang Son Province
Quynh Son village (Lang Son) and Lo Lo Chai village (Tuyen Quang) are the two newest representatives from Vietnam to be honored by the United Nations Tourism Organization as "World's Best Tourist Villages 2025".
The village is located more than 150km from Hanoi, which is equivalent to more than 3 hours of travel by private car.

The village boasts over 400 traditional stilt houses, many of which are hundreds of years old and have been preserved for 3-4 generations. Visitors can leisurely stroll around the village, admiring the simple, peaceful houses and chatting with the incredibly friendly and hospitable locals. Each house bears its own unique mark on the porch, doors, or wooden walls, reflecting the personality of each homeowner.
With the weather being fine, tourists can enjoy climbing Na Lay mountain to admire the panoramic view of the Bac Son valley.

The cuisine of the Tay people in Quynh Son is attractive to tourists.
Just a few minutes' drive from Quynh Son village, visitors can visit the famous traditional craft village producing yin-yang roof tiles. Thai Hai Village, Thai Nguyen
The Thai Hai Ethnic Village Ecological Reserve was honored by the United Nations Tourism Organization as the "Best Tourist Village in the World in 2022". Located approximately 70km from Hanoi and 10km from the former center of Thai Nguyen City, it lies within the tourist route of Ho Nui Coc Lake and the Tan Cuong tea culture area.
The village has over 30 traditional stilt houses and more than 200 residents. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in the cultural experiences and customs of the Tay people, surrounded by lush green natural surroundings typical of the local area.

Visitors will also discover the village's "unusual custom" of sharing meals and utensils, with all earnings going into a common fund. The village chief takes care of all the expenses and daily needs of each family, from personal to essential, including food, medical care, entertainment, and education.
The villagers have preserved more than 100 attractive traditional dishes such as braised pork belly, grilled buffalo meat, carp stewed in rice wine, sticky rice with wild olives, steamed mountain snails with ginger and lemongrass, fern salad, stir-fried wild spinach, five-colored sticky rice, etc.
