These models not only meet the increasing needs of people and tourists but also create more jobs on the spot, contributing to increasing income for households.

The development of small-scale trading services at the market has helped many farmers in Dong Loc change their lives.

Mr. Ha Van Luong - owner of Truyen Phuong supermarket in Trung Thanh village said: "Given the shopping needs of local people, my family decided to invest in opening a mini supermarket to better serve the people. Thanks to the abundant source of goods and stable prices, the supermarket not only meets the essential needs of the people but also helps my family have a more stable and sustainable source of income."

Not only Mr. Luong's model, many other households also seized the opportunity to expand their business activities to meet the increasing needs of people and tourists.

Mr. Bui Van Hung, a business owner in Nam My village, said: “The number of people coming to Dong Loc Intersection is increasing, especially during holidays and tourist seasons. This is an opportunity for us to expand our business model. In addition to the fruit store, we have developed footwear and some other convenient services. In addition to increasing income, our family business also creates regular jobs for a number of local workers.”

These stories of change show the strong transformation of Dong Loc when services and trade develop in the right direction, effectively promote existing advantages, and create motivation to help people get rich right in their homeland. In recent years, trade and service activities in the commune have maintained stability and continuously expanded.

The whole commune currently has 1,108 production and business establishments in many diverse fields such as carpentry, construction, forest product processing, mechanics, transportation, electricity - electronics, garment, food services, spa... Besides, a modern retail and service system is also taking shape with 2 mini supermarkets, 1 Dien May Xanh store, 4 motels and many new service models to meet the needs of people and tourists.

Not only strongly developing individual businesses, Dong Loc also has 19 enterprises and 15 cooperatives in operation, including 9 agricultural cooperatives, 3 clean water - environment cooperatives, 1 chicken farming cooperative, 1 VietGAP orange production - trading cooperative and 1 inter-commune credit fund. The whole commune also maintains 11 cooperatives and 14 orange growing groups according to VietGAP standards with an area of nearly 100 hectares, attracting 84 members to participate.

The stable development of small-scale industries and the trade and service system not only opens up a new direction for the local economy but also creates regular jobs for hundreds of workers, contributing to improving the lives of the people. Up to now, the poverty rate of the commune is only 1.97%; near-poor households are 3.38%.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dieu - Head of the Economic Department of Dong Loc commune informed: "Determining that trade, services and tourism continue to be the strategic development direction, in the coming time, the locality will focus on expanding small-scale industries with high added value; effectively exploiting the advantages of historical relics and convenient transportation network; building new tourism products, connecting tours on the route of Huong Tich Pagoda - Dong Loc Intersection - Cua Tho - Trai Tieu - Truong Luu Cultural Village".

"The commune will also promote the development of enterprises, cooperatives, and cooperative groups in the spirit of Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW of the Central Committee on continuing to innovate, develop, and improve the efficiency of the collective economy in the new period; Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW, dated May 4, 2025 of the Politburo on developing the private economy; promoting digital transformation, e-commerce, and promoting local products; creating service land funds and encouraging people to expand sustainable business models," Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dieu added.

Dong Loc is changing every day, with spacious roads, vibrant services, increasingly improved people's lives, growing budget revenue, and many new business models being formed. Dong Loc is gradually becoming an economic and service highlight in the Tra Son area, opening up prospects for sustainable development and an increasingly better life for the people.
