Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Vice President of Hanoi University, said that in 2025, the school will conduct regular university admissions using admission methods according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and will announce the admission results at the end of August.

In 2025, Hanoi University will enroll 22 undergraduate training majors with 28 full-time training programs with a total enrollment target of 3,305, an increase of 80 enrollment targets compared to 2024, with 3 methods: Direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, combined admission according to regulations of the University and admission based on high school graduation exam scores in 2025.

According to Mr. Dung, from the score distribution announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, it can be seen that the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam for the D01 group (Math, Literature, English) - the group for admission to all training programs of the school - are lower than last year.

However, according to statistics, the number of candidates applying for admission to the School's training programs this year nearly doubled compared to 2024.

“Therefore, it can be predicted that the admission scores for Hanoi University’s training programs in 2025 will likely not fluctuate much compared to last year. The University’s training majors have high social demand and have been in the group with high admission scores for many years, so the expected admission scores for the training programs may only fluctuate up or down by about 0.5 - 1.5 points compared to 2024,” said Mr. Dung.

Mr. Dung predicts that the majors with the highest expected admission scores this year are: Korean Language, Chinese Language, English Language, Japanese Language, Information Technology, Marketing...

These are also the majors that in the past 5 years have been in the group of majors with the highest standard scores of the University. The standard scores of these majors last year ranged from 33 to 35.8 points on a 40-point scale. In 2024, the two majors with the highest standard scores of Hanoi University are Chinese Language (35.8) and English Language (35.43).

According to Mr. Dung, in recent years, for most of the school's training majors, candidates must have an average score of 7.5 points or higher in each high school graduation exam subject to have a chance to be admitted to the school. In 2024, the benchmark score for most of the school's majors will be 30.48 points or higher (on a 40-point scale, with double the Foreign Language subject).

In 2025, the School will enroll 3,305 students, using three methods: direct admission and priority admission; combined admission according to the school's regulations and considering the 2025 high school graduation exam scores.

Tuition fees at Hanoi University for the 2025 enrollment period are expected to be around VND0.78-1.7 million per credit, an increase of 7.5-8.3% compared to last year. Students need to complete around 145-152 credits and meet a number of other requirements to be considered for graduation recognition.

According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, universities will start virtual filtering from August 17, lasting until August 20. University benchmark scores will be announced before 5:00 p.m. on August 22, 2025.
