Expected minimum score of military school: From 18 points

(NLDO) - It is expected that before July 23, military schools will announce the minimum admission score, expected to be from 18 points or higher.

At the 2025 Admission Selection Festival organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, Tuoi Tre newspaper and a number of units at Hanoi University of Science and Technology on July 19, Colonel Do Thanh Tam, Secretary of the Military Admissions Board, Ministry of National Defense , said that the minimum score for admission to military schools in 2025 is expected to be 18 points.

According to Colonel Do Thanh Tam, in addition to recruiting for the military system, 10 military academies and schools will recruit about 3,500 students for the civilian system.

Both military and civilian training systems conduct admissions according to the general regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. However, for the military system, candidates are required to participate in the preliminary selection and can only register for admission to schools that have announced that they meet the preliminary selection requirements, and must also rank their first choice for that school.

It is expected that before July 23, military schools will announce the minimum admission score, expected to be from 18 points or higher.

Meanwhile, the civil system does not require preliminary selection and candidates can register for admission in any order of preference.

Colonel Do Thanh Tam warned candidates to avoid the mistake of wanting to enter the military system but registering for the civilian system, as this can easily lead to a situation where they pass and fail.

2025 is the first year that military schools apply the conversion of foreign language certificate scores and give priority points to candidates with outstanding academic achievements.

For English, the conversion level starts from IELTS 5.5 and above. The Military Science Academy also converts Chinese and Russian language certificates for candidates applying for the corresponding language majors.
