However, a technical glitch caused each participating account to receive 2,000 Bitcoin. In total, 620,000 Bitcoin were mistakenly distributed to users' accounts. Currently, this amount of Bitcoin is worth over $44 billion.

To date, Bithumb says it has recovered 99.7% of the 620,000 Bitcoin. The company also restricted trading and withdrawals for 695 affected customers within 35 minutes of the incident.

This is the world's most advanced high-performance computing infrastructure, expected to significantly boost research and development of next-generation AI models.

Bitcoin price plummets.

According to data from CoinMarketCap , the price of Bitcoin plummeted below $60,000 on February 6th. This was also Bitcoin's lowest price in the past year.

This decline was strongly influenced by concerns about the monetary policy of the US Federal Reserve (FED). President Donald Trump's nomination of Kevin Warsh to succeed Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has raised fears that interest rates will not cool down anytime soon.

This information, coupled with the unstable macroeconomic situation, has triggered selling pressure on risky assets, including Bitcoin and a host of other cryptocurrencies.

A budget-friendly iPhone is about to be launched.

In February 2025, Apple introduced the iPhone 16e to replace the iPhone SE line in the budget price segment. According to numerous leaks, the successor to this model is expected to be announced at the end of February.

Reports suggest that the iPhone 17e will retain the same design as the iPhone 16e. It's highly likely that this product line will still use the notch display design, instead of the Dynamic Island design found on most current high-end iPhone models.

The most significant upgrade on the iPhone 17e comes from the A19 processor. This chip promises to deliver more powerful performance while improving energy efficiency, thereby extending battery life.

Galaxy S26 Ultra performance scores leaked.

According to GSMArena, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor for all versions sold in different markets. There will be no variant using the Exynos chip.

The mobile device performance benchmarking website GeekBench recently leaked information about a product with the codename SM-S948N, believed to be the Galaxy S26 Ultra. According to the leak, this product achieved a single-core score of 3,601 and a multi-core performance score of 10,686.

For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro Max, with its A19 Pro chip, achieved 3,775 single-core points and 9,749 multi-core points in the same test. This means the Galaxy S26 Ultra has approximately 5% slower single-core performance and 9% faster multi-core performance compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

iOS 26 continues to disappoint.

Last week, Apple released the iOS 26.2.1 update. In the description, the company stated that this version provides second-generation AirTag connectivity and several bug fixes for iPhones.

The iOS 26.2.1 update caused numerous technical issues on iPhones (Image: Apple).

However, many users reported experiencing a range of issues with their devices after the update. Some of the problems users reported on forums included Face ID authentication errors in third-party apps, unresponsive control center, unstable storage, app crashes, and more.

In fact, many opinions suggest that iOS 26.2.1 is merely a test version, lacking stability, and that Apple rushed the release of this update.
