To strengthen the connection and create momentum for tourism development between Dien Bien province and the Northwestern provinces and other provinces and cities, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has chosen Dien Bien province as the host of the National Tourism Year 2024, with the theme "Glory of Dien Bien Phu - Endless Experience".
Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy said that Dien Bien is known as a historical land associated with the Dien Bien Phu victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world". Monuments such as Hill A1, De Castries Bunker, Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument, etc. have been invested in construction and restoration to meet the needs of domestic and international tourists to visit and learn about history.
In addition to its historical tourism strengths, Dien Bien is also a land rich in potential for resort tourism, health care with a system of hot mineral springs, invested homestays or eco-tourism, exploring natural landscapes and experiencing the cultural identity of 19 ethnic groups.

Introducing the logo and slogan of the National Tourism Year 2024, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province Nguyen Minh Phu said that the logo and slogan of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024 have the theme "Glory of Dien Bien Phu - Endless experiences", built on the heroic echo of the "famous in five continents, shaking the world" victory and designed based on the typical colors of Dien Bien province tourism.
“The logo and slogan of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024 represent an invitation for tourists to come to Dien Bien province to relive the glorious history and have endless experiences, to love the westernmost land of the Fatherland more,” said Mr. Phu.
Within the framework of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024, 169 programs and events will take place; including 13 national programs and events organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ministries, departments and central branches; Dien Bien province will organize 28 programs, events and activities; 128 events and activities will be organized by 33 provinces and centrally-run cities.
