The Art Program to open the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien and the 2024 Hoa Ban Festival with the theme "Returning to the Hoa Ban land" will take place at 8:10 p.m. on March 16 at 7/5 Square with a duration of 80 minutes and includes 3 chapters: Dien Bien - the legendary land, Traveling with the wings, Dien Bien Connecting the flower seasons.
This is the first time in the Northwest region in general and Dien Bien in particular, the audience will enjoy the artistic light show Drone light - Flycam performance combining the light of 200 unmanned aircrafts lighting up brilliantly at the opening night of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien and the Hoa Ban Festival 2024 with symbols of the Fatherland Map, flying dragon, Dien Bien tourism logo, airplane, Hoa Ban, Muong Thanh field, the Fatherland flag and symbols of tourist cities...
The 200 Drone light show is scheduled to take place near the end of Chapter III of the Art Program.
Audiences will enjoy the Drone light art performance at the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien and the Ban Flower Festival 2024.
Previously, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province issued Plan No. 996/KH-BTC dated March 8, 2024 on organizing the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024.
The plan clearly states that National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024 is a typical cultural - economic - social event, of national and international scale, associated with the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).
Through the organization of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024 to raise awareness of the position and role of tourism in society and mobilize the strong and active participation of all levels, sectors, business communities and people in the work of building and developing tourism products suitable to market demand; contributing to creating momentum for socio-economic development of Dien Bien province in 2024 and the following years.
At the same time, strengthen cooperation in tourism development between localities in the country, introduce and promote the tangible and intangible cultural values and unique nature of Vietnam, thereby expanding and enhancing friendly cooperation, integration and development, enhancing the image of the country and people of Vietnam in general, and Dien Bien province in particular.
In addition, promote the synchronous investment in infrastructure and technical facilities at Dien Bien Phu - Pa Khoang National Tourist Area and other tourist areas and spots. Exploit potentials and advantages to develop the economy, ensure social security, reduce poverty quickly and sustainably, improve people's lives; preserve and promote the value of cultural identity and the special national historical relic of Dien Bien Phu Battlefield, contributing to building Dien Bien province into one of the tourist centers of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region.
Regarding requirements, strictly implement the direction and support of the Government, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and ministries, departments and branches in organizing the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024; close coordination of provinces and centrally-run cities. Ensure close coordination between departments, departments, branches, unions and local authorities; the response and active participation of organizations, businesses and people in organizing activities.
Activities and events of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024 must do a good job of ensuring political security, order, social safety, environmental protection and epidemic prevention and control in the new situation. Strengthen State management of tourism.
Actively develop a number of new, unique, distinctive, high-quality tourism products, on the basis of best exploiting the outstanding strengths of Dien Bien province and localities. Mobilize socialized funding sources from organizations, businesses, and people along with state budget funds, ensuring savings, efficiency, avoiding ostentation and waste; seek support from domestic and foreign media and press agencies in communication and promotion work.
The Opening Ceremony of National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024 is directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Dien Bien province, with the focal agencies advising and implementing the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province, in coordination with the Departments, branches and sectors of Dien Bien province, members of the Organizing Committee and related units.
In addition to the highlight of the Opening Ceremony, a series of diverse activities and events will also take place throughout the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024, notably including: National scientific conference "Dien Bien promotes potential and advantages for sustainable tourism development"; Cultural, Sports - Cuisine Festival of Muong Ang district ethnic groups in 2024 and inauguration of works to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory (March 2024); Writing contest to learn about the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory combined with the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Vietnam (Quarter I/2024); Launching the creation of literary, artistic works and songs about Dien Bien and the Dien Bien Phu Victory (Quarter I/2024); Ban Phu Citadel Festival (April 2024); Northwest - Dien Bien Industry and Trade Fair in 2024; Special art program (May 6, 2024); 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 2024); Culinary contest (August, September 2024); Investment promotion conference of Dien Bien province (Quarter III/2024); Mong ethnic cultural festival of Nam Po district (September 2, 2024); Cultural, Sports and Tourism festival of Tua Chua district (October 2024)...
