Forum to listen to the voices of the poor associated with launching support for the "For the Poor" Fund in 2024

Attending the event were comrades: Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Van Binh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and organizations.

At the forum, many poor people expressed their wish that all levels, sectors and localities continue to pay attention and create conditions for them to escape poverty sustainably.

After listening to the opinions of the poor, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed: In recent times, the Party, the State and the social community have always paid attention to and cared for the lives of poor and near-poor households, helping to improve the quality of their material and spiritual lives. In particular, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province has promoted its role as a bridge in mobilizing social resources to help the poor in many practical and meaningful ways, notably building Great Unity houses; maintaining and expanding sustainable livelihood models. In addition to the above support resources, he hopes that poor and near-poor households will further promote their will to be self-reliant, self-reliant, make efforts to study, work and produce to escape poverty sustainably and have a prosperous and happy life.

Businesses support the Fund "For the Poor" in 2024.

Speaking at the forum, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and thanked the precious sentiments and hearts of businesses and philanthropists inside and outside the province in the past time. Thereby, thousands of poor households have been supported with capital and means of production; purchased health insurance; gifts during natural disasters, droughts and holidays, Tet... contributing to warming the hearts of the poor. However, the rate of poor and near-poor households in the province is still quite high; more than 1,600 households are having difficulty with housing, so the province hopes to continue receiving support from agencies, organizations, businessmen, philanthropists inside and outside the province.

Next, the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee read the appeal letter and launched support for the "For the Poor 2024" Fund. Responding to the appeal, socio -political organizations, member organizations of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front, and religious organizations signed to sponsor and help poor households. Enterprises, agencies, and units inside and outside the province donated 6 billion VND to the "For the Poor" Fund in 2024.

Provincial leaders pressed the button to start construction of 60 Great Solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households.

On this occasion, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee launched the construction of 60 Great Unity houses for poor and near-poor households under Project 384. Provincial leaders presented gifts to 20 poor households, scholarships to 20 poor students; presented flowers and plaques of recognition for the golden hearts of groups, individuals, businesses, and philanthropists inside and outside the province who supported the "For the Poor" Fund in 2024.

Since the beginning of the year, the "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee at all levels in the province has received donations and registered donations of more than 22 billion VND from agencies, units, businesses, individuals, and philanthropists inside and outside the province. Thereby, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels has allocated a total of more than 21.1 billion VND; of which, new construction and repair of 295 houses with a total amount of over 16 billion VND; Tet gifts, livelihoods, medical examination and treatment of over 3.2 billion VND; support for poor students to overcome difficulties of more than 500 million VND...
