On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of Cuba (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2025), on December 2, 2025, General Secretary To Lam sent a congratulatory letter to the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel. The letter reads:

On this occasion, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man sent congratulatory messages to First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel, Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz and President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez.
On the same day, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung sent a congratulatory message to Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parilla./.
