Orientation for the development of family medicine in Da Nang

The city's Center for Disease Control (CDC) recently coordinated with the city's Department of Population to organize an international conference on family medicine, with the participation of nearly 100 experts, doctors, and medical staff from home and abroad.

At the workshop, experts and doctors focused on discussing, providing practical solutions and directions for the development of family medicine in Da Nang , contributing to continuous and comprehensive health care for the people.

According to Dr. Nguyen Dai Vinh, Director of CDC Da Nang, the strategy of preventive medicine and primary health care is the foundation of the health system. Family doctors play a key role, helping all people access basic health services; at the same time, effectively implementing 3-level prevention to improve the quality of community health care. In the context of Da Nang aiming to become a specialized health care in the Central Highlands region, developing a family doctor model suitable for domestic practice is an important task.
