Positioning 5 breakthrough tourism areas for Khanh Hoa

Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee has just set a goal for the tourism industry in the 2025-2030 period to become a spearhead economic sector, creating momentum to promote the development of other economic pillars.

In which, the annual growth of Khanh Hoa tourists is 15%, the contribution rate in GRDP is 15% and 20% in budget revenue.

Khanh Hoa also set a target of 100,000 tourist accommodation rooms, of which about 75% will be of 3-5 star quality standards. The total number of visitors will be 20.5 million, of which 10.5 million will be international visitors by 2030.

Resolution 01 of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee on double-digit economic growth in the period of 2025 - 2030, clearly identifies 5 tourist regions for local development in the coming time.

It is a beach tourism area and explores the national historical sites of Nha Trang and Vinh Hy.

Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula tourist area and Ninh Chu tourist area will be positioned as national tourist areas.

Natural eco-tourism areas are developed in Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh, Tan Giang lake, Song Trau lake, Song Sat lake, Ninh Phuoc vineyard, and Thuan Bac wind power tourism.

Khanh Hoa will also develop tourism experiences in the Nui Chua world biosphere reserve, Phuoc Binh National Park, Nam Cuong sand dunes and Mui Dinh.

Along with locating tourist areas, the locality also proposed 3 groups of domestic and international tourist markets to develop in the period 2025-2030.

Group 1 is the existing core market in Khanh Hoa or the market that can expand quickly with an effective promotion program. This is identified as the foundation market group, which needs immediate priority.

Group 2 is the growth market group such as Germany, UK, France, Australia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These are new markets with high potential and short-term development roadmap.

For group 3, which is the expected market group such as Northern Europe, Indonesia, Philippines, Qatar, Eastern Europe - Czech Republic, Poland, it is necessary to build a long-term development roadmap to attract visitors.

Khanh Hoa also sets out a priority orientation for developing modern, quality tourism, in parallel with the responsibility of preserving and promoting national cultural identity and values.

Along with restructuring the tourism industry professionally and sustainably, the locality also sets out many solutions to promote the domestic market, effectively exploit the large international tourist market, and at the same time focus on markets with high spending capacity.

In the first 6 months of the year, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 6.2 million visitors. Of which, international visitors accounted for nearly 42%, contributing to revenue of over 31,000 billion VND.
