Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, assessed that tourist destinations in Tan Loc islet have leveraged their ecological and agricultural strengths, forming a collective economic model to support each other in tourism development. However, the destinations are still small-scale, tourism products are not yet attractive enough to encourage repeat visits, and tourism infrastructure remains inadequate. The survey of these destinations will serve as a basis for the delegation to make recommendations and proposals regarding the city's tourism development orientation, as well as mechanisms and policies to support tourism development in line with Can Tho's post-merger status. With its new position, Can Tho tourism needs to reposition its products, tourism map, and city brand. Accordingly, the delegation will continue to survey the potential and strengths of the localities, listen to suggestions, and compile a report, thereby developing appropriate tourism orientations and plans for the future.
