On the occasion of National Day September 2, 2023, officials, civil servants, public employees and workers will have 4 consecutive days off.
According to the Department of Labor Safety, since the end of 2022, the Government Office has announced that the Government has agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) to propose that the National Day holiday in 2023 will be from September 1, 2023 to September 4, 2023.
Specifically, civil servants and public employees will have the 2023 National Day holiday from Friday, September 1, 2023 to Monday, September 4, 2023.
This holiday includes 2 National Day holidays (September 1 and September 2), 1 weekly day off and 1 compensatory day off for the weekly day off as prescribed by the Labor Code.

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs requests that agencies and units implementing the 2023 National Day holiday schedule pay attention to arranging and organizing working departments reasonably to handle work continuously, ensuring good service to organizations and people.
For agencies and units that do not have a fixed schedule for Saturdays and Sundays every week, they will base on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange a suitable schedule.
Employees who are not civil servants or public employees, and employers decide to choose the National Day holiday option in 2023: Employees will have Saturday, September 2, 2023 off and choose 1 of 2 days: Friday, September 1, 2023 or Sunday, September 3, 2023.
If the weekly day off coincides with a public holiday, the employee will be given a compensatory day off on the next working day according to the provisions of the Labor Code.
This is the last holiday of the year. Therefore, based on the above holiday schedule, employees can proactively arrange time to travel , return to their hometown, visit relatives, etc.
