
Before the training session, captain Do Duy Manh spoke with the press about the team's morale, the professional preparation process, and the positive atmosphere during the recent training sessions of the Vietnamese national team.
Assessing the team's progress, Do Duy Manh stated that the entire squad is maintaining good morale after a demanding schedule in the V-League. The coaching staff has made appropriate adjustments to help the players reach their peak performance.
"The whole team is highly focused and ready for the match against Laos," the Vietnamese national team captain emphasized.
When asked about the pressure to win convincingly, the number 2 center-back affirmed that the team always aims for the best possible outcome, but must not be complacent.
He stated: "Nothing can be said for sure until the ball starts rolling, but the Vietnamese team always aims for victory. Every player adheres to the tactics and strives to perform at their best. If we achieve a resounding victory, it will be a joy for the whole team and the fans."
One of the highlights of this training camp is the return of striker Nguyen Xuan Son after nearly a year of injury treatment. Sharing his thoughts on his teammate, Do Duy Manh expressed his confidence: “Xuan Son is a good striker with excellent goal-scoring ability. He is very professional and is showing great determination to return and contribute to the Vietnamese national team.”
The captain of the Vietnamese national team also revealed Xuan Son's feelings: "Son said that what he misses most is the feeling of being on the field. For a player, having to leave the pitch is difficult. But everyone can clearly see Son's desire and effort in every training session."
Assessing the overall atmosphere of the team, Do Duy Manh said that the teammates are very close-knit. Everyone is clearly aware of their responsibility when wearing the national team jersey. The whole team will try their best, follow the training plan of the coaching staff to aim for the best results.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese national team will depart for Laos on the morning of November 15th on a flight departing at 9:35 AM. Coach Kim Sang Sik and his team will have four days of training in Vientiane before their match against the Laotian national team on November 19th.
In the first leg match at Binh Duong Stadium, the Vietnamese team won 5-0.
