Before the training session, captain Do Duy Manh spoke to the press about the team spirit, professional preparation and positive atmosphere during the past training days of the Vietnamese team.
Evaluating the team's development phase, Do Duy Manh said that the whole team is maintaining good spirit after a period of intense competition in the V-League. The coaching staff has made appropriate adjustments to help the players reach their peak performance.
"The whole team is highly focused and ready for the match against Laos," the captain of the Vietnamese team emphasized.
When asked about the pressure to win convincingly, the number 2 center back affirmed that the team always sets the optimal goal, but is not allowed to be subjective.
He stated: “It is too early to say anything, but the Vietnamese team always aims for victory. Every player follows the tactics and tries to perform their best. If we have a big win, it will be a joy for the whole team and the fans.”
One of the highlights of this training session is the return of striker Nguyen Xuan Son after nearly a year of injury treatment. Sharing about his teammate, Do Duy Manh expressed his confidence: “Xuan Son is a good striker, with good scoring ability. He is very professional and is showing great determination to return to contribute to the Vietnam team.”
The captain of the Vietnamese team also revealed Xuan Son's feelings: "Son said what he misses most is the feeling of being on the field. For a player, having to leave the field is difficult. But everyone can clearly see Son's desire and effort through each training session."
Assessing the overall team atmosphere, Do Duy Manh said that the team members are very close-knit. Everyone is clearly aware of their responsibilities when wearing the national team jersey. The whole team will try their best and follow the coaching staff's training plan to achieve the best results.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese team will leave for Laos on the morning of November 15 on a flight departing at 9:35 am. Coach Kim Sang Sik and his team will have four days of training in the capital Vientiane before entering the match with the Laos team on November 19.
In the first leg at Binh Duong Stadium, the Vietnamese team won 5-0.
