Do Hoang Hen sings the National Anthem, eager to contribute to Vietnamese football

At the Ceremony to grant the Decision on Vietnamese Naturalization held at the Hanoi Department of Justice on the morning of October 17, Do Hoang Hen (the Vietnamese name of midfielder Hendrio Araujo) could not hide his happiness.

Wearing the traditional Ao Dai and singing the entire National Anthem at the flag-raising ceremony, he shared with the Decision on naturalization as a Vietnamese citizen in hand: “I am very happy, proud and feel extremely grateful. I have officially become a Vietnamese citizen. I love the country and people of Vietnam and desire to contribute to Vietnamese football. I will try harder to be worthy of everyone's trust and contribute my best to Hanoi FC as well as Vietnamese football."

Congratulations to Do Hoang Hen, on a new life with a new mindset in Vietnam, with the love that the Vietnamese people have for you”, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau - Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation congratulated Hoang Hen.

Hoang Hen and his wife hold the decision to become Vietnamese citizens.

Officially being granted Vietnamese citizenship is an important milestone not only for Hoang Hen personally but also the result of many months of hard work by Hanoi FC. Since signing the contract in May 2025, the purple team and the Brazilian midfielder have been aiming to acquire Vietnamese citizenship, then accompanied him in the process of preparing documents and completing administrative procedures according to Vietnamese law, helping this player to be able to contribute to Vietnamese football for a long time. According to Hanoi FC, the club has supported Hendrio in learning Vietnamese, learning about Vietnamese culture, history and law - important factors in the citizenship application.

With Vietnamese nationality, Hoang Hen is officially eligible to compete in LPBank V.League 2025/26 from round 7 when Hanoi FC welcomes Ninh Binh FC at Hang Day Stadium at 7:15 p.m. on October 18, helping the capital team strengthen its squad depth.

Do Hoang Hen is one of the outstanding foreign players in V.League in recent years with technical playing style, modern thinking and high ability to create breakthroughs. Fans are looking forward to the duo Hoang Hen - Xuan Son in the Vietnam national team, but it will be until the end of December 2025 that Hoang Hen meets the condition of living in Vietnam for 5 years to be able to be called up by coach Kim Sang-sik.
