On November 14, within the framework of a short-term training program for senior leaders and managers of Vietnam in Australia, a working delegation led by comrade Huynh Thanh Dat, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, visited and worked at the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia.

The visit and working session of this delegation aims to enhance information exchange and promote cooperation with Australia in the fields of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

At the meeting, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam reported on the bilateral relations and the results of the Embassy's work in recent times, including the implementation of Resolution No. 57/NQ-TW on strengthening scientific and technological cooperation with Australia; community work; and the implementation of the amended Law on Nationality. The Ambassador proposed to coordinate the organization of a workshop to introduce a harvested rice variety researched by an Australian expert to expand substantive cooperation directions in high-tech agriculture .

Attending the meeting, Deputy Minister of Justice Nguyen Thanh Ngoc informed about the progress and main contents in implementing the amended Law on Nationality - an issue of concern to many Vietnamese citizens in Australia. The Deputy Minister emphasized that the consistent policy of the Government and the Ministry of Justice is to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, while creating the most favorable conditions in the process of handling nationality procedures.

According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, the new regulations aim to simplify conditions, increase the application of online methods, and make the process of handling documents transparent. The Ministry of Justice is closely coordinating with Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to promptly resolve arising problems, especially those related to verifying the origin, transferring documents, and completing technical infrastructure. Complete and clear documents will be considered and resolved on time; cases requiring additional information will be given specific instructions, ensuring that there are no delays or bottlenecks.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Huynh Thanh Dat acknowledged the efforts of the Embassy and ministries and branches in implementing foreign affairs tasks, community work and citizen support, and discussed with the Embassy's staff on the direction of promoting cooperation with the host country in the fields of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation and artificial intelligence application. He requested the representative agency to proactively grasp the trends and effectively implement the cooperation contents agreed upon by the two countries' senior leaders.
