On June 26, the Central Economic Commission delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien - Deputy Head of the Commission visited and worked at THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park. Accompanying the delegation were representatives of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Information and Communications and departments and branches of Quang Nam province. Mr. Nguyen Quang Bao - General Director of THACO AUTO hosted the reception of the delegation.
The visit aimed to survey the implementation of Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW dated March 22, 2018 on "Orientation for building national industrial development policies to 2030, vision to 2045"; Resolution No. 52-NQ/TW dated September 27, 2019 of the Politburo on "Some policies and strategies to proactively participate in the Fourth Industrial Revolution" in THACO's production and business activities. Thereby, analyzing and evaluating the difficulties and obstacles in current mechanisms, policies and laws to propose amendments, supplements and improvements in the coming time.
At the meeting, THACO's representative, Mr. Nguyen Quang Bao, presented the strategy and orientation for production and business development, focusing on developing the mechanical and automotive industries and developing agriculture on the basis of industrial management. At THACO Chu Lai, THACO has built the largest concentrated Mechanical - Automotive and Logistics Industrial Center in the country and among the top in the ASEAN region; creating jobs for thousands of workers, creating momentum for socio-economic development and contributing greatly to the budget of Quang Nam province.
Regarding Resolution No. 52-NQ/TW dated September 27, 2019 of the Politburo, since 2015, THACO has newly built and upgraded all factories towards automation, applying digitalization in management, in order to increase productivity, create products with high technology content, meeting market trends. Up to now, the Group has invested and operated a smart factory model on a digital platform with a production execution system (MES), connecting automatic production lines throughout the factory with information throughout the value chain, from ordering to production and delivery.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien - Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission acknowledged THACO's contributions to the development of Vietnam's industry; at the same time, he accepted the Group's suggestions. Thereby, there is more information to serve the preliminary review of the implementation of resolutions and perfecting mechanisms and policies to encourage and support economic groups and private enterprises in the industrial sector.
On this occasion, the delegation visited and directly surveyed automobile assembly factories, mechanical engineering - supporting industries and Chu Lai seaport.
