Ha Giang province delegation works with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan

BHG - On May 7, the delegation of Ha Giang province led by Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan. Welcoming and working with the delegation were Mr. Pham Quang Hieu - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan and his colleagues.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Giang province briefly informed about the socio-economic situation of the province in the past time. In 2023, Ha Giang province was honored to receive the Certificate of Re-recognition of the UNESCO Global Geopark Dong Van Karst Plateau for the third time; started construction of the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway project; announced the Ha Giang Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and determined the general goal by 2030, Ha Giang is a fairly developed, comprehensive and sustainable province. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son also briefly discussed the positive results during the working days with Miné city, Yamaguchi province and Miné-Akiyoshidai Geopark in Japan and the situation of promoting cooperation and linking economic development with localities and organizations of Japan to increase investment attraction and develop Ha Giang province more and more prosperously. Accordingly, the orientation of the province’s cooperation, development and investment attraction fields are agriculture, trade, tourism and labor export from Ha Giang to work in Japan. Currently, Ha Giang province has exported products to the Japanese market such as: radish, red ginger, buckwheat, etc.

Ha Giang province hopes that the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan will support the province, connect and promote to businesses, corporations, organizations, and associations of Japanese investors about the potential, advantages, and preferential policies of Ha Giang province; priority areas calling for investment, list of priority projects calling for investment in Ha Giang and promote the export of the province's special products to the Japanese market. Support and create conditions for Ha Giang to expand cooperation in areas such as: trade promotion, investment cooperation to attract FDI projects; support in searching and introducing localities and partners with potential and similar conditions to move towards signing comprehensive cooperation agreements; support scholarships, cooperation programs in training human resources, especially high-quality human resources, and labor export cooperation programs.

Expressing his joy at receiving the delegation of Ha Giang province, Comrade Pham Quang Hieu - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan was impressed and congratulated the results of socio-economic development and foreign affairs of the province in recent times. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan also informed about the development situation of Japan in recent times as well as the needs and investment fields that Japanese enterprises are aiming for. The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan will continue to actively support the proposals of Chairman Nguyen Van Son and support Ha Giang in promoting to Japanese enterprises and investors; help connect and introduce Ha Giang to sign cooperation agreements with potential localities, contributing to supporting the increasingly strong socio-economic development of the locality; strengthening the good diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
