Delegation of Tuyen Quang province attended the 20th meeting of the Vietnam

Delegates attending the 20th Meeting of the Vietnam - Korea Intergovernmental Committee.

The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Quoc Phuong and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kim Hee Sang, and took place at Lotte Hotel Seoul. The two sides reviewed the cooperation situation in recent times and exchanged key contents in the fields of trade, investment, finance, energy, infrastructure, science, technology, labor and economic security.

At the working session on financial cooperation, the representative of Tuyen Quang province presented the need to use ODA capital from Korea and reported the progress of the project to invest in building a road from the center of Tuyen Quang city (old) to My Lam mineral spring tourist area, with a total investment of 41.68 million USD, of which the expected ODA loan from EDCF Fund (Korea) is 32.46 million USD. Tuyen Quang province affirmed that it has completed the preparation work, arranged enough counterpart funds and requested the Korean side to soon issue a letter of commitment to provide capital, complete the negotiation and signing procedures to implement the project.

The attendance of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Delegation contributes to strengthening the cooperative relationship between the province and Korean agencies, while opening up opportunities to access ODA capital and preferential loans to serve infrastructure development and promote economic and social growth of the province in the coming period.
