On March 19, the Supervisory Delegation of the Provincial Party Standing Committee according to Decision No. 2034-QD/TU dated January 29, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee (referred to as the Provincial Party Standing Committee's Supervisory Delegation 2034) led by Comrade Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, had a working session with the Party Committee of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) on the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of Resolution No. 12/NQ-TU dated December 30, 2021 of the 14th Provincial Party Executive Committee on the climate change adaptation program for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Attending were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Tran Minh Nam, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Chamaléa Thi Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department.
Implementing Resolution No. 12/NQ-TU, the Party Committee of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development organized learning and dissemination to all cadres, civil servants and employees in the unit and implemented the resolution with many positive results. In particular, focusing on building, upgrading and repairing the dyke system, disaster prevention and control works; forest planting, care and protection were paid attention to and paid attention to; well-organized management, supervision, protection and effective exploitation of water resources; built flexible production plans to adapt to climate change, through models of converting upland crops and water-saving irrigation. Up to now, the rate of land area for production with proactive irrigation has reached 62.38% of the plan; all disaster-prone areas have warning signs about drowning and landslides; 100% of rural households with children have access to clean water during and after natural disasters.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive spirit and efforts of the Party Committee of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in implementing Resolution No. 12/NQ-TU, which has initially achieved results. Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Party Committee of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development needs to effectively carry out the work of disseminating and popularizing the resolution to all cadres, civil servants and people; study the transformation of the production structure of high-value crops and livestock varieties suitable to natural conditions adapting to climate change, applying water-saving irrigation technologies on crops; strictly protecting special-use forests, protective forests and production forests. Focus on reviewing, researching and proposing capital sources for building, upgrading and repairing irrigation systems and disaster prevention and control works.

After listening to the Department of Construction report on the leadership, direction and implementation of the contents of Resolution No. 12/NQ-TU; concluding the working session, Comrade Tran Minh Luc, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's 2034 Supervision Delegation, requested the Department of Construction to continue to strengthen leadership and direction in the implementation of Resolution No. 12/NQ-TU in the coming time.
