On November 13, Dong Nai Department of Health issued a plan to organize the response to 35 years of Vietnam's response to HIV/AIDS, the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS prevention and control and World AIDS Day (December 1) in Dong Nai province in 2025.
The program aims to increase the attention of leaders, policy makers and the whole society to HIV/AIDS prevention and control towards the goal of ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030. Assess the HIV/AIDS epidemic situation in Vietnam over the past 35 years, and summarize and acknowledge the achievements and efforts of the country in HIV/AIDS prevention and control.
Promote the provision of comprehensive services on HIV/AIDS prevention and control: prevention coverage, early detection, timely treatment of HIV/AIDS and promote health insurance participation of HIV-infected people, aiming to increase access to HIV/AIDS prevention and control services for people.
Reduce stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV, people affected by HIV/AIDS and people with high-risk behaviors for HIV infection; increase family and social support for people living with HIV, create conditions for people living with HIV and their family members to participate in HIV/AIDS prevention and control activities.
The Department of Health requests departments, branches, organizations, and localities to organize or integrate the launching ceremony in response to 35 years of Vietnam's response to HIV/AIDS, the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control in 2025, and World AIDS Day (December 1) into related events. In addition, localities and units can organize activities to mobilize the participation of the community and people such as: mass parades, walks, cycling, races, displays, exhibitions, music, plays and mobile film screenings, or organize events to give gifts to people with HIV and people affected by HIV/AIDS...
Strengthen communication on HIV/AIDS prevention and control on social networks through effective forms of message transmission such as short video clips, digital communication materials. In particular, organize communication events on HIV/AIDS and related content at universities, colleges, intermediate schools, high schools, industrial parks... to attract the attention of young people.
