Unite for the prosperous future of the country

On the basis of that profound argument, we have more basis to reflect on the responsibility of each individual and each organization in nurturing and promoting the strength of great solidarity, to together move towards a prosperous and happy future for Vietnam.

Great unity is the "secret to success" that has been proven in the blood and tears of many generations.

General Secretary To Lam reiterated a truth that is all too familiar but never old: in every stage, whether favorable or difficult, we can only go far if we know how to unite, know how to hold hands and walk.

The General Secretary emphasized that “no matter what stage, the core principle of the Front is still to unite the entire people for a common goal”. This is not only a summary of a long journey, but also a reminder for the present and the future: if we lose the spirit of solidarity, we will lose the greatest strength of the nation. Great solidarity is not a slogan, but a historical experience, a “secret to success” that has been proven in the blood and tears of many generations of Vietnamese people.

In the article, the General Secretary not only looked back at the past, but also clearly raised the issue of the present: the world around us is changing at an unprecedented speed. Many countries are falling into a spiral of ethnic and religious conflicts, social divisions, and prolonged political instability. In that global picture, Vietnam emerges as a bright spot in terms of political and social stability, and in the people's belief in the path chosen by the Party and Uncle Ho.

Stability is the foundation for development, the condition for us to dare to set higher goals, to dare to dream of a prosperous future, where people enjoy the fruits of development fairly, and no one is left behind. To do that, solidarity must become a force for action.

One of the new points that the General Secretary mentioned was how we organize and nurture the spirit of great solidarity in the digital age. For the first time in the history of Party Congresses, the process of collecting public opinions on the Draft Documents of the 14th Congress was implemented on a digital platform, from the VNeID application on smartphones to online information portals, helping millions of people at home and abroad to conveniently contribute their opinions. Nearly 3 million opinions were sent, of which more than 2 million opinions were sent via the VNeID platform.

From a political culture perspective, it is a vivid demonstration of a new “culture of solidarity”: solidarity in the digital space, where citizens are not only beneficiaries of policies, but also subjects participating in building policies and guidelines. Great solidarity spreads through touches on the phone screen, through two-way interaction between people and the political system. That is how we bring the spirit of “The Party is the people, the people are the Party” into life in a modern and practical way.

Solidarity is only truly meaningful when tested in hardship. The natural disasters in the North, Central and Central Highlands have proven that: tens of thousands of cadres, soldiers, doctors, union members and young volunteers rushed into the flood to save people; charity vehicles, rice ATMs, and donation accounts were directed to the flood-affected areas. In those moments, "great solidarity" is no longer an abstract concept but appears concretely - in the life jackets passed around, boxes of instant noodles, pills, new books for children in landslide areas, in each message of sharing. It is at that time that the tradition of "love others as you love yourself", "love the gourd and squash" mentioned by the General Secretary becomes the source of nurturing Vietnam's bravery and compassion in the new era.

Great solidarity is not limited to national borders. More than 5 million Vietnamese people living abroad are a part of the Fatherland. By emphasizing the increasingly close ties between compatriots at home and the overseas Vietnamese community - from the "For the sea and islands of the homeland" programs to free Vietnamese language classes, investment projects, and activities to preserve Vietnamese culture in foreign countries, the General Secretary is expanding the concept of solidarity beyond the territorial framework, turning it into a cross-border network of Vietnamese people around the world.

In the context of deep integration, such solidarity has strategic significance: it is not only a material resource, but also a soft power, a “people’s diplomacy” that helps consolidate the image of a friendly, humane, trustworthy Vietnam in the eyes of international friends. A self-confident nation, knowing who it is, attached to its roots but open to the world, will have a completely different position on the global political and economic map.

Resolutely fight against all manifestations of division and localism

However, in order for the strength of great solidarity to become the driving force for national development, the General Secretary has set a very clear requirement: first of all, it is necessary to strengthen solidarity within the Party and within the political system. Each cadre and party member must truly set an example, "match words with actions", put the interests of the nation - people and the People above all else, resolutely fight against all manifestations of division, localism, group interests, corruption and negativity.

A clean Party, an honest State, and an effective apparatus serving the People are prerequisites for the People to truly trust and be ready to unite and join forces. When trust is strengthened, great solidarity becomes an invaluable “political capital”, helping the country stand firm in the face of all storms.

Solidarity cannot be separated from social justice. The General Secretary emphasized the need to constantly improve the material and spiritual life and protect the legitimate rights of the people, especially vulnerable groups: ethnic minorities, remote areas, border areas, islands, revolutionary base areas, and areas frequently affected by natural disasters.

Continuing to effectively implement sustainable poverty reduction and social security programs, "leaving no one behind" - that is not only a development goal, but also a way to strengthen the great solidarity bloc.

Only when farmers in drought-stricken areas, workers in industrial zones, people in mountainous and island areas, overseas Vietnamese... all see that they have a place, a voice, and a future in the overall picture of the country, will great solidarity have a solid foundation.

In that picture, the role of the Fatherland Front and people's organizations becomes increasingly crucial. The General Secretary requested to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation of the Front, focusing on the grassroots, taking the people as the center of service, turning the Front into a broad forum for all classes of people and overseas Vietnamese to express their opinions, make suggestions, and supervise.

This is not only an organizational requirement, but also a requirement for a “listening culture”. A modern political culture is one that respects differences, encourages constructive debate, and accepts frank and sincere criticism. At that time, solidarity does not mean “one-sidedness”, not everyone thinks exactly the same, but is a consensus on core values, while still respecting diversity in viewpoints and ways of doing things. From a cultural perspective, it is “unity in diversity” - a higher, deeper level of national solidarity in the new era.

The General Secretary also sees great solidarity on a global scale: a stable, harmonious, and benevolent Vietnam will make important contributions to peace, cooperation, and common development of humanity. In an era where many powers are still caught up in a spiral of confrontation and conflict, a country that puts peace, cooperation, and respect for international law first will be respected and become a trusted partner. That is also how we turn the strength of internal solidarity into external prestige and influence.

Requires a coordinated action program

Through the articles and speeches of General Secretary To Lam, we can see a consistent vision: great solidarity is the foundation, but modern institutions, a strong economy, and a developed culture are the "wings" that help that strength fly far. When the General Secretary talked about the Politburo soon issuing two major resolutions - one on the state economy, one on culture - to create new momentum for national development after the 14th Congress, that is the concretization of solidarity strength into mechanisms and policies to promote rapid and sustainable growth, in which the state economy and culture are both considered important pillars.

Solidarity for the prosperous future of the country, therefore, requires a synchronous action program. For the political system, it is building a clean and strong Party, setting an example of solidarity, unity, fighting individualism and group interests. For state agencies, it is reforming institutions, streamlining the apparatus, preventing corruption and waste, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of governance, so that "every penny of people's tax is used in the right place, for the benefit of the people". For the Front and mass organizations, it is innovating the content and methods of operation, truly being a bridge between the Party, the State and the People.

And for each citizen, great solidarity starts from very small things: from not letting oneself be drawn into false and distorted information on social networks; from knowing how to debate civilly and respect others; from the spirit of mutual love with the less fortunate; from the awareness of obeying the law and fulfilling one's civic duties; from the responsibility to live decently and work hard in one's field. A society where farmers do well in the fields, workers are devoted to the production line, intellectuals are dedicated in the laboratory, artists create works that move people's hearts, officials know how to "be close to the people, respect the people, understand the people, learn from the people and be responsible to the people" - that is the most beautiful image of great solidarity in daily life.

The General Secretary's article concluded with a very strong message: in times of intertwined opportunities and challenges, we must preserve the great solidarity bloc as we preserve the apple of our eye, so that every Vietnamese citizen, regardless of region, ethnicity, religion, or profession, shares the same determination to unite for the prosperous future of the country. This is not only a message to the Fatherland Front and the political system, but also a reminder for each citizen to reflect on how they have contributed to that great solidarity bloc.

On the journey towards the goal of building a strong, prosperous Vietnam with happy people, as the documents presented at the 14th National Congress are identifying, the country will have to overcome countless challenges. But one thing is certain: the great solidarity of the Vietnamese people - a strength that has helped us many times to do things that seemed impossible.

Unity is not something that comes naturally, nor is it something that will last forever. It needs to be nurtured by trust, by fairness, by dialogue, by correct policies, by living examples. General Secretary To Lam’s article recalls historical lessons, analyzes today’s achievements, and points out what needs to be done for tomorrow. The rest belongs to us - the people who are living, working, and contributing on this land.

When every Vietnamese person considers solidarity as a way of life, a daily choice, a way for us to look at each other with more tolerant eyes, listen to each other more, and work together more effectively, then the "prosperous future of the country" will become a reality that can be reached in the not too distant future. And then, history will record that: at the time of entering a new era of development, the Vietnamese people have once again chosen their own strength - the strength of great national unity.
