(LĐ online) - After 3 days at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi), on the evening of November 18, the 7th Then singing and Tinh lute art festival of the Tay, Nung, and Thai ethnic groups - 2024 organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism concluded.

Attending the festival, nearly 500 artisans and actors from 14 troupes from provinces and cities across the country participated in 4 main activities: Performing Then singing and Tinh lute art; Exhibition space introducing traditional cultural products; Demonstrating traditional weaving and Tinh lute making; Processing and introducing traditional cuisine of the Tay, Nung, and Thai ethnic groups.

56 unique Then singing and Tinh lute performances were performed at the Festival, clearly demonstrating the awareness of preserving and promoting Then heritage values; traditional cultural features of the Tay, Nung, and Thai ethnic groups were recreated through ancient and new Then melodies, Tinh lute ensembles, Then dances... by participating artists with Then melodies, rituals and Tinh lute sounds, immersing the audience in a cultural space imbued with national identity.

Attending the Festival, Lam Dong delegation had 26 Tay and Nung artists from Phi To commune Then singing club and Tan Thanh commune Then singing club, Lam Ha district, who participated in all the activities of the festival. 4 Then singing and Tinh lute performances including: Lam Dong plateau, Lam Ha innovated Tinh lute concert, Beloved Lam Dong betel dance, Then chin Slang en (Then words to swallow - ancient words) brought to the audience many emotions about the love for Lam Dong homeland, the prosperous and happy life of Tay and Nung people in their new homeland Lam Ha.

In particular, the Space introduces the traditional culture of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups in Lam Ha district with the theme "Colors of Tay and Nung culture on the Lam Dong plateau" with rich artifacts and images of Then singing and Tinh lute art, traditional indigo costumes, musical instruments, agricultural products, brocade weaving, Tinh lute making, culinary culture... Thereby, it has shown that the Tay and Nung ethnic culture has a lasting vitality, wherever the Tay and Nung people go to settle down and live, the beautiful cultural features are brought there and continue to flourish in the new land.

At the end of the Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded 20 A prizes, 20 B prizes and 16 C prizes in the Then singing and Tinh lute performance competitions. In the exhibition space competitions; brocade weaving and Tinh lute making demonstrations; culinary exhibitions, for each competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 5 A prizes, 5 B prizes and 2 C prizes.

The Lam Dong delegation made an impression at the Festival, bringing home 7 awards in 4 categories; including 2 A prizes for the Then singing and Tinh lute performance “Lam Dong my hometown” and the competition for processing and introducing traditional cuisine; 4 B prizes: Betel dance performance “Dear Lam Dong”, singing and playing “Lam Ha doi moi”, Exhibition space to introduce local cultural products, demonstration of traditional weaving and Tinh lute making; 1 C prize for the performance of Cam then Slang en (Then words to swallows – ancient words).
