On the afternoon of December 7th, the "Hundred Flowers of Joyful Events" took place in the pedestrian area around Hoan Kiem Lake. The program was part of the Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 series of events. Inspired by the joyous events of the Nguyen Dynasty with their processions, offerings, and auspicious symbols, the program aimed to evoke the image of processions of officials, family members, and the bride and groom from the past.

The procession started at 3 PM from Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, proceeded along Hang Dau Street, the intersection of Trang Tien and Hang Khay streets, circled around Hoan Kiem Lake, and then returned to the starting point at the main stage of the festival.

Familiar rituals from cultural memory are recreated like vivid film scenes, now appearing amidst modern streets, creating a feeling that is both nostalgic and novel.

The procession brought together a large community of Vietnamese traditional clothing enthusiasts, as well as groups researching and practicing Vietnamese culture. Several couples registered to participate in the procession. This was a fascinating highlight, expanding the experiential space for those who wanted to preserve wedding memories with images of traditional Vietnamese attire.

A large number of locals and tourists joined in the joyful atmosphere of the traditional wedding procession.

The exciting street dance performance created a modern and youthful atmosphere.

Ms. Thu Tra (Cau Giay, Hanoi ) shared: “I felt very excited to immerse myself in a space recreating traditional rituals right in the heart of Hanoi. The meticulously recreated processions, costumes, and auspicious symbols made me feel like I was seeing a part of the cultural memories of my ancestors. At the same time, I felt more optimistic about life and appreciated my current happiness.”

“The activities in the ‘Happy Vietnam Day’ event series are very meaningful. They help me learn about my homeland’s traditions while also providing many interesting experiences,” said Duc Thang (Dong Da, Hanoi).

The event contributes to spreading the message about cultural values, family, and happiness, encouraging the younger generation to learn about and appreciate the nation's cultural heritage. Following the procession, a music gala titled "Happy Vietnam" will be held on the evening of December 7th for the public, marking the closing of the event.
