The goal of the Vietnamese sports delegation is to win 90-110 gold medals at this Southeast Asian Games . The head of the Vietnamese sports delegation in Thailand is Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department.
The strengths of the Vietnamese sports delegation at the SEA Games are athletics (target of 12-14 gold medals), swimming (target of 6 gold medals or more), wrestling (6 gold medals or more), weightlifting (4 gold medals or more), football (2 gold medals or more)...
Before the "major army" of the Vietnamese sports delegation arrived in Thailand this afternoon, a number of Vietnamese teams and athletes were present and competing in the land of golden temples, such as the men's football team, women's football team, baseball team, badminton athletes...

The flag-raising ceremony of the Vietnamese sports delegation in Bangkok is expected to take place on the afternoon of December 8 at Hua Mark Stadium, located inside the Rajamangala National Sports Complex of Thailand. This is the stadium that hosted the 2012 Futsal World Cup finals.
In addition, the delegation also had another flag-raising ceremony in Chonburi (more than 100km from Bangkok) on December 11, at the Wyndham Jomtien hotel, next to the famous Jomtien beach in Southeast Asia, in the coastal city of Pattaya.
The 33rd SEA Games will officially open on December 9, at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.
