At the meeting, Minister Nguyen Van Hung listened to a report from Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh - Deputy Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Training, Head of the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 33rd SEA Games.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh shared the recent competition situation of the delegations such as men's and women's football, baseball, badminton, and handball. The head of the Vietnamese sports delegation pledged that the whole delegation will compete with all their might and strive to achieve the highest results.
Representatives of the Vietnamese sports delegation also had the opportunity to share the difficulties and problems that the teams have encountered in the past time. Mr. Tran Anh Tu - an officer of the Vietnamese sports delegation, said that in the first days, the two men's and women's football teams had difficulty in eating. In addition, the women's team also had a lot of trouble when having to practice at a very far field, taking nearly 1.5 hours to travel.
Minister Nguyen Van Hung shared the difficulties and hardships that the Vietnamese sports delegation had to face. The Minister promised to do his best to discuss with the host country Thailand, to ensure the best competition and training conditions for the athletes.

Besides, the Minister also called on members of the Vietnamese sports delegation attending this SEA Games to sympathize and share the difficulties the host country faces.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also awarded a "hot" bonus of 100 million VND to the Vietnamese sports delegation.
Minister Nguyen Van Hung told Head of Delegation Nguyen Hong Minh and the entire delegation: "We represent the country to participate in the SEA Games, so let's try our best and be determined to compete with all our might. We will not only bring glory to the Fatherland, but also promote the image of the country and Vietnamese people to the world ."
As assigned by the Prime Minister, Minister Nguyen Van Hung will represent Vietnam to attend the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games at Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok) tonight (December 9).
