The trip was organized with the aim of learning experiences in many fields to serve the agricultural development of Tuyen Quang. The main objectives include:
Building high-tech agricultural production zones: Learn how Son La plans and forms high-tech agricultural zones, linked to the advantages of each locality Son La has now developed 9 high-tech agricultural zones with key products such as tea, dairy cows (Moc Chau); coffee, custard apples, mangoes (Mai Son); longan, plums (Yen Chau)..., thereby increasing the value of agricultural production in the province.
Investment support and attraction mechanism: Study the policies and institutions that Son La applies to promote investment in high-tech agriculture, such as credit support, science and technology, land... to encourage businesses, cooperatives and farmers to boldly invest in production development.
Trade promotion and agricultural product consumption: Learning how Son La province builds agricultural product brands, expands consumer markets and promotes trade promotion (especially e-commerce) so that agricultural products can reach domestic and foreign markets.
In fact, Son La has over 300 growing area codes for fruit trees, more than 200 processing and packaging facilities qualified for export, along with dozens of safe food supply chains and 3-5 star OCOP products - proof of the effectiveness of trade promotion and the quality of agricultural products of the province.
Transfer of science and technology: Study agricultural extension activities, transfer and apply scientific and technological advances in cultivation, disease prevention, preservation and processing of agricultural products. Son La has built many high-tech application models (such as growing vegetables in greenhouses, drip irrigation, IoT sensors to monitor agriculture) bringing in income of hundreds of millions to billions of VND/ha/year, contributing to improving the quality and competitiveness of agricultural products.

Attracting and training high-quality human resources: Exchanging experiences in developing human resources to serve modern agriculture. Son La leaders said that the province pays great attention to training specialized human resources in information technology, biotechnology, greenhouse technology, IoT... to meet the requirements of high-tech agriculture. Thanks to that, Son La is gradually affirming its role as a high-tech agricultural center of the Northwest region.
Within the framework of the program, the delegation visited some typical high-tech agricultural models in Son La province.
On the afternoon of November 29, the Tuyen Quang delegation had an official working session with the leaders of the People's Committee of Son La province at the headquarters of the Provincial Administrative Center. Attending the working session, on the side of Son La province, there was comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province - chaired the reception and worked with the delegation, along with leaders of the departments: Agriculture and Rural Development (ARD), Industry and Trade, Science & Technology, Culture - Sports & Tourism and the Office of the Provincial People's Committee.
At the meeting, the leaders of Son La province openly and enthusiastically shared their experiences in developing local agriculture. The focus of the discussion revolved around the contents that the Tuyen Quang delegation was interested in, including: planning for the development of high-tech agricultural zones, policies to attract businesses to invest in agriculture, as well as building chains linking production to processing and consumption of agricultural products in Son La.
Son La emphasized that in order to become a high-tech agricultural center of the Northwest region, the province has issued many synchronous mechanisms and policies. Specifically, the province focuses on planning large-scale concentrated production areas according to the advantages of each region (for example: fruit growing areas in Mai Son, Moc Chau; tea areas in Phu Yen; coffee areas in Thuan Chau...) associated with the processing industry. Along with that, the province promotes value chain linkages through the development of new-style cooperatives and cooperative groups, helping farmers not only produce raw materials but also participate in the preliminary processing, processing and consumption of products. Thanks to these solutions, the output and value of Son La agricultural products have increased, many items such as mango, longan, passion fruit... have conquered demanding markets (Japan, Australia, EU...).
In addition to attracting large enterprises to invest in modern agricultural projects, Son La pays special attention to transferring science and technology and developing human resources. The province regularly organizes training courses and seminars to share new techniques with farmers; at the same time, it coordinates with universities and research institutes to absorb and apply technical advances (such as new plant varieties and advanced farming techniques) to production.
At the end of the working session, Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Gia Long, on behalf of the working delegation, thanked the leaders and departments of Son La province for their warm and thoughtful welcome. He expressed his deep impression of the achievements and high-tech agricultural development models of Son La, considering them extremely useful practical lessons for Tuyen Quang.
