Enterprises that pay social insurance late will be fined 0.03%/day

From November 30, many important changes in handling late payment and evasion of social insurance and unemployment insurance will be applied according to Decree 274/2025 detailing a number of articles of the Social Insurance Law on late payment and evasion; complaints and denunciations about social insurance. Accordingly, enterprises that are late in paying social insurance will have to pay an additional 0.03% per day on the amount of late payment.

Within the first 10 days of each month, the Social Insurance agency will send a document requesting the employer to fulfill its responsibility to pay compulsory social insurance. In addition, Decree 274/2025 also clearly stipulates that even if it falls under one of the acts defined as evasion of payment under Clause 1, Article 39 of the Social Insurance Law, the unit will not be considered as evading payment if it falls under one of the following reasons: Major natural disasters such as storms, floods, inundations, earthquakes, fires, prolonged droughts; dangerous epidemics; emergency situations as prescribed by law... affecting operations or other force majeure events as prescribed by civil law.
