In recent years, the wave of digital transformation, green transformation and application of artificial intelligence (AI) has been spreading strongly, deeply affecting all fields. E-commerce is gradually replacing traditional commerce. Data-based operational management is gradually replacing manual, cumbersome models. Public services, digital payments, digital supply chain connections... have been and are reshaping the entire business ecosystem. Grasping this inevitable trend, in recent times, many enterprises of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering have proactively applied digitalization to improve production and business capacity; promoted restructuring of governance and operational models and gradually realized the goal of building a modern, comprehensively digitalized dual-use business ecosystem.

At Corporation 28, in recent years, the Party Committee and unit commanders have always paid attention to leading and directing the promotion of digital transformation and clearly identified digital transformation as a long-term strategy, closely linked to production and business tasks. Many tasks have been basically deployed on software, helping to increase work processing speed, improve management and operation efficiency, save time and costs for the unit. In addition, Corporation 28 also promotes the application of AI in production management and prioritizes the development of supporting industries, and combats counterfeit and fake goods. Thanks to strong digital transformation, annual production and business targets have increased, ensuring good jobs and high income compared to businesses in the same industry.
At Joint Stock Company 26, the Party Committee of the Company has issued a specialized resolution on leadership of digital transformation activities. Thanks to the successful application of enterprise management software, activities related to work management, approval, proposal, request... are all carried out on the software. In addition, the Company has deployed digitalization and identification of defense products using QR codes, helping to trace the origin of goods, along with instructions for use. Up to now, all defense products manufactured at the Company are identified by copyrighted QR codes, creating convenience in the management and use process.
The above results show that businesses have a correct understanding and real need for digital transformation, and want to deploy digital transformation systematically and effectively, in accordance with the characteristics of national defense and dual-use. Businesses no longer ask “should we do it?” but proactively seek ways to “do it correctly and accurately.”
However, experts also pointed out common misconceptions about digital transformation that cause investment units to waste money and fail in implementation. Common situations include fragmented management, disjointed information technology systems, and unexploitable data. Especially, there is a lack of practical and feasible solutions that start from leadership thinking to restructuring the operating system... On that basis, many experts have made recommendations for businesses to firmly grasp the basic digital transformation steps, including: Building a digital strategy and digital culture; restructuring management and operations; standardizing and synchronizing data; comprehensively automating processes; investing in appropriate technology, equipment, and platforms; and exploiting, analyzing, and operating based on real-time data, serving customers, human resources, and optimizing operations.
Digital transformation does not start with technology but with the awareness of leaders; it is not just a trend but a vital strategic task. Enterprises need to understand the true nature of digital transformation as transforming the operating model, exploiting data to make decisions, not just "buying software". Only when enterprises have the capacity to operate modernly, exploit data effectively, automate processes and make timely decisions can they perform well the assigned political and defense tasks; at the same time, participate deeply and effectively in commodity economic production, promoting resources assigned by the State and the Army.
