According to a VNA correspondent in France, the visit is considered an important first step in connecting the business communities of the two sides, opening up many new prospects in the fields of agriculture, food processing, wine, technology, health care and vocational training. At working sessions with the authorities of the Pyrénées-Orientales region and Perpignan city, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and the French Business Association (MEDEF) in the region, local businesses commented that Vietnam is a dynamic market with great potential and a stable economic growth, especially in the fields of agriculture, food and services. This market is also considered the top attractive destination in Asia.

Mr. Jean Marti, Vice President of MEDEF Pyrénées-Orientales region said: “We have strengths in agricultural production and food processing. The Ambassador said: "Currently, the momentum for cooperation between the two countries is very large. We hope to take advantage of this development momentum to promote connections between Vietnamese enterprises and French regions, including Pyrénées-Orientales - a place with many strengths in agriculture, technology and tourism."
Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang said many French businesses have planned to organize working delegations to Vietnam in the coming time to directly learn about the market, consumer demand and the possibility of cooperation in production, processing, as well as two-way trade.
In addition to the agricultural sector, Pyrénées-Orientales also has strengths in marine research, information technology, artificial intelligence and shipbuilding - areas in which Vietnam is in need of cooperation and development. Business representatives assess Vietnam as a dynamic partner, ready to innovate and able to absorb technology quickly. Ms. Caroline Sirere Ferriere, a businesswoman in Perpignan, commented: “Vietnam is changing strongly. We believe that the two sides can build effective cooperation models in the fields of services, technology and sustainable agriculture. Each side has its own strengths to develop together.”
