With the desire to expand their market and supply chain, Philippine businesses are attending the Spring Fair 2026 to seek opportunities for cooperation on Vietnamese agricultural products such as cashews, cocoa, and coffee.

The 2026 Spring Fair is gradually moving beyond the scope of a domestic consumer stimulus event to become an open trade promotion space where connections between Vietnamese businesses and international partners are formed in a direct and substantive manner.

The fact that international business delegations have attended, visited, explored, and connected for cooperation at the Spring Fair 2026 in recent days demonstrates the increasing attractiveness of the trade fair model linked to in-depth trade promotion; it also reflects the proactive efforts of the Vietnamese Trade Office system in bringing international partners directly to the "production sites" of domestic businesses.

Commercial Counselor Le Phu Cuong of the Vietnam Trade Office in the Philippines shared at the Spring Fair 2026 that, from the beginning of 2026, the trade office has implemented a series of promotional activities with a focus on directly connecting leading retail and distribution businesses and corporations in the Philippines with large businesses and distribution systems in Vietnam.

Commercial Counselor Le Phu Cuong, of the Vietnam Trade Office in the Philippines, shared this information at the Spring Fair 2026.

"Bringing a delegation of Philippine businesses to visit the Spring Fair is a substantive trade promotion activity that directly addresses the specific needs, capabilities, and potential for cooperation between businesses of both sides," said Commercial Counselor Le Phu Cuong.

According to Trade Counselor Le Phu Cuong, the Philippines is currently Vietnam's second-largest export market in ASEAN and has great potential for agricultural products such as grains, seafood, edible products, tea, and coffee.

In fact, many Vietnamese agricultural products have established a strong position in the Philippine market, with Vietnam consistently ranking among the top suppliers and holding a significant share of the country's import value. This foundation has paved the way for Philippine businesses to proactively seek opportunities for deeper cooperation with Vietnamese businesses through the Spring Fair 2026.

With its large population, young demographic structure, and growing middle class, the Philippines is witnessing a strong expansion in demand for consumer goods, building materials, machinery, and raw materials for manufacturing. These are areas where Vietnam has a production advantage with competitive prices, aligning with the consumption trends of the Philippine market.

In particular, the fact that both countries are members of numerous regional free trade agreements also facilitates preferential tariff treatment for Vietnamese goods when entering the Philippine market, thereby increasing their attractiveness to local importers and distributors.

Participating in the Philippine business delegation to Vietnam, many businesses directly surveyed and evaluated products at the Spring Fair 2026. Mr. Mandel V. Panizares, from Green Agricultural Products Trading, expressed his desire to cooperate with Vietnamese businesses in agricultural products, especially cashew nuts, cocoa, and coffee.

The Spring Fair 2026 also provides an opportunity for Philippine and Vietnamese businesses to seek networking and collaboration opportunities.

Seeing and experiencing the products firsthand at the trade fair helped partner businesses gain a more realistic understanding of the production capacity, product quality, and order fulfillment capabilities of Vietnamese businesses, rather than relying solely on indirect information from profiles or images.

Representatives from Green Agricultural Products Trading also shared that, as a developing enterprise in the Philippine food supply industry, specializing in importing and distributing high-quality nuts, coffee, dried fruits, and dried vegetables, Green Agricultural Products Trading is currently seeking partners in the Southeast Asian market, including Vietnam, to expand its market share.

Conversely, Counselor Le Phu Cuong believes that the Spring Fair 2026 is also an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to gain deeper access to businesses and the Philippine market, a market considered to have significant untapped potential.

The Vietnam Trade Office in the Philippines reports that many domestic businesses have proactively submitted company profiles, product catalogs, samples, or sent representatives to explore the market and participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, trade weeks, and seminars organized by the Trade Office in the Philippines. Many businesses have even invested in dedicated booths to display and promote their products at specialized exhibitions in construction, food processing, packaging, electrical appliances, food and beverages, and shopping and culinary festivals in the Philippines.

These activities not only contribute to promoting products and goods but also spread the image of Vietnam and its people to Filipino consumers. The increasingly prominent presence of Vietnamese goods in retail systems, supermarket chains, and modern distribution channels in the Philippine market is a positive sign, showing that Vietnamese brands are gradually making their mark in this market.

In the coming period, the Vietnam Trade Office in the Philippines affirms that it will continue to proactively promote Vietnamese products, goods, and the image of Vietnam and its people to friends, partners, and the people of the Philippines through trade fairs, exhibitions, trade weeks, conferences, seminars, and other appropriate promotional programs. Simultaneously, it will provide information and introduce the potential of the Philippine market to Vietnamese businesses, gradually encouraging the business communities of both countries to proactively research, explore , and develop each other's markets.

To further enhance the reach of the 2026 Spring Fair to the international business community, Philippine businesses have also requested that the Organizing Committee prepare additional subtitles in English and other foreign languages, facilitating access to information, products, and networking opportunities for international visitors. This practical proposal reflects the expectations of foreign businesses for the fair to be elevated to a more professional and integrated level.
