Honda Vietnam sales in October 2025 - cars decreased, motorbikes increased slightly

While Honda's car models are experiencing a sharp decline in sales, on the contrary, the motorbike segment continues to maintain growth momentum.

According to a report from the Japanese car manufacturer in Vietnam, Honda Vietnam 's automobile business recorded a slight decrease. Specifically, in October 2025, the company sold only 3,314 vehicles, down 8.1% compared to the same period last year. Accumulated from the beginning of the 2025-2026 fiscal year, sales reached 15,059 vehicles, down 0.5% compared to the same period.

Meanwhile, in the motorbike segment, in October 2025, Honda Vietnam sold 188,036 motorbikes, an increase of 2.8% over the same period in 2024. Total cumulative sales from the beginning of the 2025-2026 fiscal year, from April 2025 to present, reached more than 1.2 million vehicles, a slight increase of 0.2% over the same period last year.

In October 2025, Honda Vietnam sold only 3,314 cars, down 8.1% over the same period last year.

This result reflects the stable consumption trend in the motorbike segment, especially when the market is gradually recovering after a long period of stagnation. It is understandable that Honda's car sales will decline compared to 2024, when the competitive pressure in the SUV and popular sedan segments is increasing.

In the motorbike segment, in October 2025, Honda Vietnam sold 188,036 motorbikes, an increase of 2.8% over the same period in 2024.

Many new brands, especially those specializing in electric and hybrid vehicles, are expanding rapidly in Vietnam. New models with lower prices than Honda cars are continuously launched such as: Jaecoo J7 AWD, BYD Seal 5... Even the new generation KIA Sorento, although in the D-size SUV segment, the price of some versions is only equivalent or close to the selling price of CR-V.

Total cumulative sales from the beginning of the 2025-2026 fiscal year, from April 2025 to present, reached more than 1.2 million vehicles, a slight increase of 0.2% over the same period last year.

Besides the domestic market, Honda Vietnam also exported 19,854 motorbikes in October, continuing to maintain its role as an important production and export center in the region.

October business results show that Honda Vietnam still maintains its leading position in the motorbike segment, but is facing challenges in the automobile segment, where the market is witnessing rapid changes in tastes and electrification trends.
