Hoa Phat's 9-month revenue reached over 4 billion USD

In the third quarter of 2024, Hoa Phat Group achieved revenue of more than 34 trillion VND, an increase of 19% over the same period last year (28,766 billion VND). In the first 9 months, Hoa Phat recorded more than 105 trillion VND in revenue equivalent to more than 4 billion USD, an increase of 23% over the same period last year (85,431 billion VND), completing 75% of the 2024 plan.

In the third quarter, the steel market in general faced many difficulties both domestically and internationally, with prices tending to decrease. Sales of construction steel products, hot-rolled steel coils and steel billets of Hoa Phat Group reached over 2 million tons, down 7% compared to the second quarter of this year.

Construction steel and high-quality steel output in the third quarter reached nearly 1.1 million tons, down 14% from the previous quarter (1.27 million tons). Domestic construction steel market share remained the leading position at 38%. Hot-rolled steel coil reached 738,000 tons, equivalent to the second quarter.

In the first 9 months of 2024, Hoa Phat Group produced 6.4 million tons of crude steel, up 34% over the same period in 2023. Sales of all types of steel (excluding steel pipes and galvanized steel) reached 6.1 million tons, up 32%. Of which, construction steel and high-quality steel contributed 3.3 million tons, up 29%. Hot rolled coil (HRC) reached 2.27 million tons and steel billets reached 505,000 tons.

For downstream steel products, Steel Pipe reached 503,000 tons, up 3% over the first 9 months of 2023. Hoa Phat Steel achieved an output of 344,000 tons, up 43% over the same period, exceeding the whole year of 2023 (329,000 tons). Hoa Phat also supplied the market with 93,000 tons of prestressed steel of various types (PC Bar, PC Strand, PC Wire). In the Container segment, Hoa Phat continuously received many orders from leading prestigious partners in Vietnam and the world such as Hapag-Lloyd, SeaCube, Hai An, etc.

Hoa Phat maintains its position and market share in the leading group of clean chicken eggs and commercial pork supplied to the market. In particular, Hoa Phat clean chicken eggs are currently in the Top 3 largest producers in Vietnam and leading in the North.

Hoa Phat household appliances launched a series of new products such as electric fan collection, new air cooler, semi-industrial RO water purifier, Funiki blender, Funiki rice cooker with lid... Other products of Hoa Phat such as air conditioners, freezers, refrigerators, dishwashers... are consumed very well, especially during the hot season.

Hoa Phat also continues to invest in expanding existing industrial parks in Hung Yen and Ha Nam, creating more clean land and technical infrastructure to serve the investment and production needs of domestic and foreign enterprises.

The Group is focusing on implementing the construction of the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Complex project, with a scale of 5.6 million tons of hot-rolled steel coil/year. Currently, the Dung Quat 2 project has completed 80% of the progress of phase 1 and 50% of phase 2. According to the current progress, phase 1 is expected to have the first hot test product of the rolling furnace by the end of 2024.

Linking its development with the benefit of the community, in the past 9 months, Hoa Phat has also carried out many charity and social programs such as building 300 charity houses in Tra Vinh, bringing clean water to the community - donating more than 300 water filters to schools and medical facilities nationwide, sponsoring the construction of Binh Dong Primary School project in Binh Son district, Quang Ngai worth more than 40 billion VND, donating 10 billion VND to build a kindergarten in Dong Hy district, Thai Nguyen.

In particular, although Hoa Phat's factories and farms in the northern provinces such as Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Bac Giang, Thai Binh, Yen Bai, Phu Tho suffered great damage from storm Yagi and floods caused by post-storm circulation, with the spirit of mutual love, the Group and Hoa Phat's staff and employees joined hands to spend tens of billions of VND to support people who were severely damaged by storm Yagi to stabilize their lives.

Recently, on October 5, responding to the Government's call, Hoa Phat Group donated 50 billion VND to the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, of which 30 billion VND was donated to Quang Ngai province and 20 billion VND to Phu Yen.
